1974 might have been the best year ever for this show; this one was another classic. When Richard was really involved in the show and bantering with everyone, it really added to things!

Richard scored his 41st H/H match today. Here's the updated leader board for the 8 celebs to have scored 3 or more H/H matches so far, ranked by their current accuracy scores: Orson - 100% (3 wins in 3 attempts). Jo Anne Worley - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts). Betty - 52.2% (12 wins in 23 attempts). Jo Ann Pflug - 46.7% (7 wins in 15 attempts). Charles - 44.4% (12 wins in 27 attempts). Bert - 33.3% (5 wins in 15 attempts). Richard - 32.3% (41 wins in 127 attempts). Brett - 28.6% (6 wins in 21 attempts). *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 279, excluding the lost/missing episodes 31, 32, 33.

I feel bad for Pat Davenport. I think she really got short changed. Not only was her heart broken when she realized she hadn't heard the question correctly, we the audience, never got to hear life story at the top of the episode. I hope we see her again.
@der22672 Жыл бұрын
LeviJane, Pat Davenport told her life story at the end of the last show, episode 278. But yes, the contestants that are brought on at the end of an episode, but they don’t have time to start a new game, Gene normally let’s that contestant tell their life story again at the beginning of the next show. For some reason that didn’t happen this time. 🤔🤔

Sweet Janet Finn. She passed away in 2015 at the age of 74. In 2001 she began having brain aneurysms that would leave her unable to walk. That would lead to her death in 2015 after a brain hemorrhage. She was married to Tom for 53 years. They had five children and 12 grandchildren. I often wonder if her kids and grandkids have seen her appearances over the years and what they thought of them. Such a sweet lady. 😔😔😊😊

I think this will be the last episode where the audience is silent during the "How dumb is she?" spot. I think that now that all the celebs are saying it, the audience will not be far behind.

stain shouldn't match either with that logic.

Another violation of the nebulous “must be an exact match” rule. Janet said, “the Lone Ranger” and Richard wrote, “lone or loan”. I agree the rule is dumb, but they never enforce it!

Judging on this show is so inconsistent and utterly confusing - seeming to change at Ira's will
@thomasmagnum3588 Жыл бұрын
If you think about urine, the judging makes perfect sense in this case. The contestant said “puddle” (of urine). A yellow spot and a stain could only be made by the dog’s urine. But a “spot” could be made by anything! I would agree with the general idea that judging on this show is wildly inconsistent…..just not in this case.

This has got to be the longest, most painful approach to record winnings ever. How did Janet not immediately go for Johnson and Johnson, who are and were a household name, instead of an academic treatise like Masters and Johnson? At this rate she's going to need a few more trips to the Super Match board to set a record. Ira was right this time. A dog could certainly leave a brown spot instead of a yellow one. In fact, he probably shouldn't have allowed yellow spot, since a yellow puddle is not a spot even if it eventually leaves one.
@lindapedersen-hylka71703 жыл бұрын
I agree, but he made a match with Richard's answer "stain", which shouldn't have been a match either. Either spot & stain match or neither match. Ira was so fickle.

15:54 In the few 70s porn flicks I came across (that were NOT Debbie Does Dallas), none of them had actors wearing roller skates. Does that mean Debbie Does Dallas is the one with the famous roller skate scene that was parodied in Boogie Nights? Edit: Obviously NOBODY has ever seen Debbie Does Dallas, and NOBODY has any clue what Richard is talking about! Yes, I figured out that Debbie Does Dallas wasn't until 1978, but apparently nude rollerskating was a thing in the early 70s.
