Sometimes Marcia Wallace's expressions remind me of the "Beaker" character on the Muppets. She was so talented, I miss her.

At this time, Hit the Road, was still a conscious song element. And, McHale's Navy may be the best response in Match Game history.

I remember Johnny Brown from GOOD TIMES. He played Nathan Bookman, the superintendent of the apartment building where the Evans family lived. J.J. & Michael called him Buffalo Butt, & their neighbor, Wilona, called him Booger.

I'd be so bad at this. 😭 I was so far off. I literally thought "I don't know, no lips?" To the kissing bandit one. 😂😭 Imagine coming out with that answer. I'm laughing so hard just thinking of it.

Things that used to annoy me become endearing - like Brett's I GOT IT every time she comes up with an answer.

I know it's rare but whenever it happens I'm overjoyed -- when the contestants have perfect answers and the stars are in accord, it just makes for a more fun game.

If MG weren't airing in syndication, would CBS have taken the show back to its network glory?
@steveyounker78973 ай бұрын
They tried, a couple of times, once with Bert Convey as host, and most recently with Alec Baldwin, which the Game Show Network is about to rerun. But it's just not the same. You couldn't do this show today, or at least not make it funny. It's definitely not Woke.

At 18:16, Gene says "I think I do a better Newkirk than he does." Gene, I am so sorry, but your British accent is atrocious. Love the repartee between Charles and Richard -- they did that more than once on MG.

Owens-Ross, round 2, question A: (lay out; see previous episode) Question B: "Since Catholic missionaries don't typically have wives, I went with his OLD SCHOOL RIVAL." (Bzzt!) Tie-breaker (let's assume I was in Charles's seat), question B: "I wanted to do something about attracting sharks - but I couldn't think of anything clever, so I just said ANCHOR." (Ding!) Question A: "A little more serious: LEPROSY." (Bzzt!) (then presumably another tie-breaker, and so on to the...) Super Match, part 1: HAY Part 2: TREE Owens-Popejoy, round 1, question A: "The true German TV ordeal: WAGNERIAN OPERA ON PBS." (Bzzt!)

Why does Gene ALWAYS refer to the black men (contestants and panelists) as "boys"? What's with this racist patronizing "atta boy crap?
