Today's audience match question: "_________ Limits" (My thoughts: Outer, Off, Speed) The celebs: "Sister Brett" (Outer), Richard (Off), and Charles (Within) The choice: Outer The answers: City, Off, Outer Every time there's a new champion, I like to guess who he or she will call on for the head-to-head. Yesterday this young man introduced himself by joking that he was Brett's twin sister. Brett matched him at a crucial point in the game today. He called on "Sister Brett" for the first suggestion. He took her answer and won $500 with it. He ran up for a hug. So I would have to think he would call on her for the head-to-head, but I wouldn't be surprised if he goes for Richard like everyone else seems to... It seems no one can escape Richard's gravitational pull. This is now Richard's 17th consecutive attempt at the head-to-head, and he's matched seven times so far during that extended run. Today's H/H question: "_______ Service" (My first thought is "room." But then there's Military service. Community service. Full service. Secret Service. I'll stick with my first thought, since I'm not eligible to win any actual money here anyway.) Richard answers quickly. It looks like a short response. The contestant gives the predicted answer (I think this is fourth or fifth time in a row that I've matched the contestant). The audience sounds pleased. Richard makes it unanimous: "Room"! There may be two reasons....the contestant might be related to someone at the show or they contestant cheated in some way.

The Outer Limits is one of the ground breaking series of the 1960s. Its plots were superior to even The Twilight Zone and its special effects were impressive (for the time). Unfortunately, it had limited popular appeal and was canceled after only two seasons.

At 20:35 prior to the prize crawl and end credits of Match Game 76 with host Gene Rayburn on CBS in 1976, it read "The current champion was later found to be ineligible and will not receive the prize money." And when we watched the prize plug fee and end credits of Match Game with host Ross Shafer on ABC in 1990, it read "All contestants must meet eligibility requirements." Too bad the champion will not receive the prize money won on Match Game 76.

Same 😁, but Buzzr is playing it again today on Sunday (just 3 days later)! 😋🙃 I *REALLY want to know* why Brit was deemed ineligible.🤔 He was a college student & looks a li'l young, but 🤷‍♀️. I _REALLY hope_ they brought the other lady contestant back, but I don't think they did.😩 It seems only fair to have brought her back to play again. I mean bc if Brit was *never eligible,* he shouldn't have been there to beat her in the first place so she technically didn't lose.🤔 Maybe since she was from Scotland, they asked her, but she couldn't return.🤷‍♀️ Soooo many questions & yet noooo answers available.😔 😄😊 🙋‍♀️ ✌♥️🌎

@@ellec7276I think the only ppl to come back were challengers that won nothing. She had already won $5600. Also, accdg to a friend that was a constant audience member, contestnts had to pay the taxes on winnings before they left th bldg, so she may have declined the offer.

@@ellec7276 Friends & fam were there to help cover ur check that would bounce to th moon otherwise. Ppl that won A LOT would call their bank for a line of credit. Ya don't get th cash until th check clears, and risk a criminal charge for a bad check... a lot of ppl just took the parting gifts and were happy. Someone sed that guy may have been ineligible bc he was on another show, but contstnts were hard to come by & I see the same ones on multiple shows. My frend sed producers watch audiences during shows for personality (esp Price is Right) and recruit for ALL shows accdg to their race, age, sex... They're ALWAYS looking for men. How often have you heard, "I was just out here on vacation...". So they get on TV, have some fun, and are all th talk back in...Ohio. The $ was never really th thing.

I'll tell you, my hat is off to Mary Wickes! Had she so chosen, she could have easily botched the "boobs" question, in retaliation for Maureen saying that people get sick watching Doc, and nobody would have noticed, because she's always giving weird answers. But she didn't, she came through. Of course she knew it was all in fun, but a pettier person might have thought of it.

It means that the contestant got on the show under false/unfaithful pretenses, and therefore is not awarded any cash/prizes. Such circumstances that may render a contestant ineligible may include (but is not limited to) the following: * Using a false name and/or social security number * Having already appeared on the show before and then returning without explanation and/or invitation from the producers * Appearing on the show during a probation period since your last game show appearance (i.e., 1 game show appearance within one year, 3 game shows within 5-10 years, etc.) * Being related to show personnel * Knowing someone who works for the show and/or the network broadcasting the show * Working for the network and/or affiliate station that airs the show
