If I had been Cheryl, after "SURE THING" came up at the top, I'd have run to Joyce to thank her instead of running over to Richard, just for the laugh (due to the mix-up of which celeb gave which answer). It could have been my comedy breakthrough moment on national television. :-)

Did you look up Peter Chaconas the contestant to see his comedy breakthrough? His story is interesting.

Did you look him up and watch his videos from his cable access show or his appearance on the Joan Rivers show? She said she had worked with him in a club at one point. Cool story.

H/H match update: ... ~~~Today's action: Yesterday's show concluded with Dick Martin in the role of the "villainess," sending our two-time champion packing with total winnings of $3,450. So we begin today with a new champion having her first go at the Super-Match round. *Today's audience match question: "Sure________"* (My thoughts: Thing, Bet, Fire) The celebs: Richard (Thing), Brett (Nuff), Charles (Fire) The choice: Thing The answers: Fire, Enough, Thing I have a feeling we're going to be seeing Richard playing the H/H in a moment. Yes. This is King Richard's second consecutive play after that mini-break from his head-to-head duties. Stats: Richard has matched 102 of his 241 most recent attempts (42.3%), 85 of his last 198 attempts (42.9%), 41 of his last 101 attempts (40.6%), and 22 of his last 57 attempts (38.6%). His overall success rate is *41.8%* and this is his 719th attempt so far. For the sake of comparison: Charles has matched 33 of his 69 attempts (47.8%), Brett has matched 30 of her 71 attempts (42.3%), and Richard has matched 300 of his 718 attempts (41.8%). Patti matched one of her two attempts, and Elaine matched on her one and only try so far. Dick Martin has never been chosen to answer a H/H question. *Today's H/H question: "Moment to________"* (Moment to lose, as in "Not a moment to lose" came to mind. Surely there's something better? And why am I calling you Shirley? I'll just wimp out with that lousy answer today.) Richard has an immediate thought and quickly files his answer. "Remember," says our new champion, brimming with confidence. Is that a film? It sounds like a good answer, but doesn't ring any bells. Maybe it's just a common phrase that doesn't click with me. (Based on the smattering of applause, it doesn't click with the studio audience either.) Oh well, let's see what our lead H/H man thought of... Richard reveals "Moment." Hmm. Three different answers today, and none of them really grabs me. No H/H match today. ~~~Here's our updated leader board showing the 11 celebs with at least 3 H/H matches, ranked by accuracy: (An asterisk before a celebrity's name signifies that she has "retired" from the show and her H/H stats are now complete.) (For tied scores, I consider the one with the greater number of matches to be higher; if the matches are equal, the celeb who first achieved that score goes on top.) Orson Bean - 100% (4 wins in 4 attempts). TIE: (*)Jo Anne Worley - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts). TIE: Joyce Bulifant - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts). Gary Burghoff - 71.4% (5 wins in 7 attempts). Betty - 50.0% (19 wins in 38 attempts). Fannie - 48.3% (14 wins in 29 attempts). Charles - 47.8% (33 wins in 69 attempts). Jo Ann Pflug - 44.4% (8 wins in 18 attempts). Brett - 42.3% (30 wins in 71 attempts). Richard - 41.7% (300 wins in 719 attempts). Bert Convy - 33.3% (5 wins in 15 attempts). *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 1073, excluding the missing/damaged/unavailable episodes: 31, 32, 33, 311, 312, 313, 324, 325, 645, 910, 1024, 1025, 1026, 1027, 1028, 1029, and 1030. *Also, note that episode 849 was never produced. (These stats do, however, include the H/H results of missing episode 968 as those results were revealed in episode 969. Note: There was no H/H in missing episode 1035, as we learn in 1036.)

I found some videos of him on the Joan Rivers show. She said they worked together in a night club. He even went on to win a local Emmy for a public access show and was voted best host of 1990 as the host of the Mr. Pete show. Says he had Roseanne Barr on his show, George Carlin, Florence Henderson, Tom Jones.......wow.
