Not rude at all, it was funny then, and funny now. They picked on each other all the time. Brett picked on her spelling and big chest, and Fannie returned the favor by saying she talks/drinks too much and is as ancient as a dinosaur.

It's not rude. Stop being nasty towards Brett. Brett and Fannie were best friends or have you missed that part? Fannie has actually written a sweet article about Brett and Charles and what they said on Match Game was NEVER mean or hurtful. Those were Fannie's words and that's how true fans see this playful banter. Just stop being nasty to Brett. Oh and looks like you're the only one who can't stand Brett and I feel so sorry for you because Brett was and is the most loved star on the panel you just have to see the amount of gifts Brett receives from her fans. So you're very wrong. Brett IS LOVED.

I always liked Richard Deacon's acting. Not just from "The Dick Van Dyke" show but he also did a lot of work for Disney. I remember him playing Annette Funicello's uncle on the Annette series. He also appeared in an episode of Zorro for Disney. In that episode, he played a priest who translated Chinese into Spanish (well, English in the show but supposedly Spanish). He also appeared as a coworker of Ward Cleaver on "Leave It To Beaver."

Let me tell you how BRETT got that position on match game, Jack Klugman was sitting in the middle on top, and he went to the Director in the producers and he explained to them and also to Gene because he and Gene are very good friends, and told them, that BRETT was sitting home all day had too much time on her hands and was drinking all day long. And since he was already doing Quincy, and spending a lot of time at the track, of course, they said OK and then when he had and gave her that spot on match game. A recommendation from Jack Klugman. And it’s a shame too because he was a very handsome and good looking man.
