Santorini is the place in Greece you’re thinking of, and it’s spectacular.
@jibril77982 жыл бұрын
i don't know if anyone can relate to this, but my family (from Indonesia) told me if I have a lost tooth from my lower teeth, I need to throw it on to the roof, but if it's from the upper teeth I need to bury it. They said so that the lower teeth can grow up faster, cuz it's going up, and the opposite goes to the lower teeth cuz it's going down.

Actually Link pronounced Mykonos correctly and Rhett might thinks of Santorini

Yes, Danish cemetaries are well-groomed, and almost all of them have benches. But they're not places for social gatherings. That's either a very local custom, or straight-up misinformation. We do have honesty shopping, though. It usually works, but a beekeeper was in the news last year after getting his jars stolen. Also, I think you're thinking of Germany when saying we have twisted fairytales. H. C. Andersen had a disturbing imagination at times, but that wasn't the bulk of his stories. That was really more the Grimms' folk tales.
@bastian13forty3 Жыл бұрын
The reason someone included this is Assistens Kirkegård in Copenhagen. I agree it's definitely not a cultural custom, just the result of one cemetery that looks like (and functions as) a city park.

Yea, Aussie here and old enough to know what an actual taxi is and its the first I'm hearing about it. Only time someone would end up in the front seat was when there was 4 of us in a group and it would always be the soberist one or the one who was paying.

Point with lips is known in quite a few countries. Seychelles, you pull a duck face, in the direction of something you are looking at, with a slight lift of the head backwards, has to be done quickly. It's really meant for a subtly way of pointing, if you are gossiping about someone close by.

Pointing with the lips is fairly common here (central Canada). I believe that it's something that was picked up from, and most common amongst, local aboriginal people. I don't know what the origin is, but it's certainly handy if your hands are full and you still need to give directions.

It's more like 1,5-2 weeks. An episode is really time-consuming, if they take a week break, they usually do some easy-to-make episodes like the gauntlets where they can make 3 episodes from one sitting.

I’m from Denmark, and I’ve NEVER seen or heard about people using cemeteries as a place for picnics or parties or whatever. I was 100% certain that honesty shopping was Denmark! I see that constantly, not just in the country side, in my experience you can find road side shops in bigger cities too!
