Good work on the roof chop and an excellent choice on the wheels with adjusted ride height. As others have said the wavy black side moldings and spoiler let down an otherwise excellent build.

I'm curious that rather than use decals for the black trim or mask off to paint the trim to achieve straight "hard edge" lines you free hand them. It seems sometimes that use your techniques or skills to do something incredibly difficult on some casting so far gone to make it look professionally restored and yet do the simplest job in a way that looks haphazard in the final result.

I said in another comment how easy it is to become blinkered in this hobby, especially when you have to then edit footage of the work I have just done. I won’t be forgetting to mask off trim detail like this again that’s for certain

lovely custom. :) the Baur cabriolets were very expensive, which is why many of them came with the base engine, even more if it was an Opel Kadett-C, where the end price tag added more thna 50% to the original price. needless to say, when BMW decided to make their own full convertibles it put a stop to Baur's activities. in fact they closed gates soon after. Funny thing, I have here a casting, presumably an early MC Toys that looks exactly like this Matchbox. Except the baseplate is all one piece, the wheels remind one of yatming, and the interior is much simpler. Which is why I suspect they used to produce for Matchbox for a while until production moved to somewhere else cheaper. and maybe MC Toys means "Matchbox Castings", actually?

You need to start using a jeweler saw. The one you use is way to thick for this. Btw, great evolution from 5 years ago 😊

Awesone. For sure, the BMW Cabrio is looking so much nice than the earlier Build from the company called Bauer. Have also a brandnew one in 1991, unfortunally with the 4-Cylinder.....bad choise in sound comparing to the 320i.

So much effort and you didn't masked the black trim lines. They are really looking awful, why?😢

That’s what I thought. Excellent build but let down by the wavy black side molding.
