I think that, if it had been a smaller game, like the Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt cartridge, you would have had enough space to put everything a little lower so you wouldn't have had to remove that dent from the back of the cartridge, and thus you wouldn't have faced the issue of not being able to insert the cart back and having to drill a hole to make it fit back.

Saw this video linked in a Discord server and, not knowing your channel or work, I was expecting the usual KZbin recipe Martha Stewart tier of perfectionist presentation and curated cleanness. I have never in my life been happier to be wrong. THIS is the kind of energy I can get behind, tearing stuff's guts out, accidentally breaking it and having to fix it again, just the true spirit of Tinkering With Shit. I definitely don't have anywhere near the knowledge and background you do but I do tend to open and fix my own shit a lot and this is exactly my speed in terms of the focus on functionality first, and totally embracing chaos. Fixing the trace with 0.1mm wire is not something I’ve seen before, very cool. I was trying to fix a clock in our kitchen last Friday, where the pcb was felt from battery oxidation, could try this.
