I had one just like that! Mom made me give up my Hot Wheels, Matchbox and other car collection at somewhere around 16 years old. At least I was able to pick out my recipient! I guess that collection was doomed from the start. Make if she had made me give the collection away, it would not have survived me being in the military and if left at home when I went to the military, Mom would have sold it bearing her garage sale days. You have refurbished quite a few toys that were in that collection. Those videos bring me back to my childhood. Thank you very much for reviving the memories!

Therein lies the reason you and your channel are so successful - not only is your principle talent so amazing, you take the time and effort to enhance a video with intriguing effects and photography as well as a bit of humor - and you take your dedication far enough to make the necessary props (to wit Kevin's clever cap) that make those effects worthy of your style. Never could give you enough kudos for you production quality and standards......................

Hi Marty, Very nice makeover of a classic bus. As for your sticker issue, back when I worked for a local trucking company, they used a spray bottle that had a couple teaspoons of liquid soap then the bottle was filled with tap water. I've seen the recommend mixture listed as 5% soap, 95% water, but you might want to experiment with what works best for you. They spray the soap water mixture on the door, allowing them to position the sticker. Once they had the sticker in position, they'd squeegee out the soap water mixture with an old windshield wiper (windscreen wiper? ) allowing the sticker to adhere to the door. Great job Marty on Kevin's hat, I sure hope your wife wasn't looking forward to using that bag on her next trip to the local market? Cheers, Rich S.

Nice Makeover Marty. If you're on a septic system like I am, don't por the caustic soda down the sink/drain as it will kill the bacteria that breaks down the human waste matter. It is best to empty the used caustic soda bath water into a bucket. Clean and rinse the container you used in that bucket to clean it. Pour the water contents in that bucket over any weeds around the yard. I'm now experimenting with a $35 sandblaster kit from supercheap Auto with a homemade sandblasting cabinet. Cheers Michael

Hi Marty, As a former Lesney employee, I can tell you that the company used hot caustic soda to remove paint from any spray shop mistakes. Also, they used to run a fleet of double decker buses to ferry staff to and from work. They were originally blue, with LESNEY on the side, under the lower windows. In the 80's they had them resprayed white with a swooping orange and brown stripe on the sides. It would be nice to see one of the models in the company logo.

The greatest cigarette packet design I've ever seen was for a Korean brand called, I kid you not, THIS PLUS. It featured a starry sky, a ship's wheel, a whale, and the motto THE SEA HATES A COWARD. I'm not a fan of smoking or cigarette promotion in general (being a lifelong asthmatic will do that), but I make an exception for a package design as brilliantly weird as that. :)
