Hi Jason, I'm a Matchbox restorer myself and the first time seeing your video only to find I'm restoring the same Mercury in the same colour, your work is very good and I like to see the different techniques that restorers use, my techniques are slightly different but that's what makes us unique, my cars end up on Facebook where they are often viewed by many, keep up the good work, Dean

Congratulations on five years I've watched every episode, your work is brilliant, and your stats talk brings it all to life, well done
I'm an OG subscriber. Been watching you since your first episode, Jason! Nice to see you go back to this one again. It's vastly better!

It has been years and I do not remember when I started watching. I know that Marty was the first that I subscribed to. I started watching him close to the beginning so I have probably watched you since the beginning. Your work is fantastic and informative. I've taken a lot of useful information from your videos. Thank you for taking the time to put the videos out. Take care.

I subscribed about 3 years ago. The models look great but I agree the newer one has a shade of green more reminiscent of the 70s. Congratulations on 5 years of restos and thanks for sharing this.

I've been a recent subscriber, but I'd say your skills have improved. That being said you saved two beautyfull models either way. The dogs sticking out the back are such a fun detail.

I think I been around for a couple of years now. Very nice restoration. I have the Superfast version with the narrow small wheels and the version with the larger wider wheels too. Both are in nice condition

I think pretty much everyone my age had one of those Mercury Commuter wagons, the version you restored is definitely the nicest with the working steering and narrow wheels. Can't remember when I found your channel but there were quite a few resto/custom creators at the time that have now seemingly stopped posting. Keep it up!

looks great, the newer paintjob comes closer to the original hue indeed. :) speaking of Mercury, there is a book on the history of the Ford Taunus Mk1^, nicknamed Knudsen-Taunus (even though Semon E. "Bunkie" Knudsen had nothign to do with it, but there), and one photo indicates that Ford USA planned on importing the Taunus Wagon to be sold under the Mercury label. The photo shows the car with US license plates and a different emblem in the grille as well as their typical side indicators. but they never followed through. when you mentioned the Commuter being discontinued after '68 this little side fact came to mind. I think I've been here since the time you did Ford week. being a Fordoholic I had to come and take a look... :) and stayed for the content.

Congrats on 5 years !! Not many customisers have lasted the distance. (on youtube) I have seen you pretty much from day 1, I got into watching youtube and found diecast channels when I started working out back in mid 2018. Well done on the Mercury, great stuff! P.S. Any recommendation of diecast places to visit when I am in the UK May/June? Cheers, Marc D
