Excellent resto paul i have this model mint and boxed the origina ladder on this model was permanently fixed with 2 tabs that were on either side of the ladder the yellow ladder you copied was from a fire engine called blaze buster which had a hinged ladder

Super! Very nice work. Smooth and glossy paint finish. Matchbox made a number of models with the Ergomatic Cab: Horse Box, Site Hut Truck, Pipe Truck, 8 wheel Tipper. This cab appears to be the AEC, which is almost a twin of the Leyland.

When I do the wheels and use the Chrome Pen, I use the 2 mm pen with the fat tip. I hold the pen and turn the wheel. The pen stays still and I turn the wheels. Works pretty well. This one turned out great.

After you made the tires, that device you put the axles into. What is that used for ? You put the axle in tightened something , it made a noise and then what. ?

and then my homemade welding machine heated the end of the axis into a ball and the wheel did not fall off it

Was that the ladder from the Blaze Buster. That ladder could go up and down . The ladder on the Merryweather was stationary.
