H/H match update: ... ~~~Today's action: Our champion just wasn't in the matching groove today. She departs after having won two games and $3,200. *Today's audience match question: "Come Up________"* (My thoughts: And See Me Sometime, Stairs, With the Right Answer) The celebs: Richard (And See Me Sometime), Charles (Roses), Fannie (Empty) - Well, now I don't feel so bad for not coming up with brilliant second and third answers. The celebs gave a couple weak ones too! The choice: And See Me Sometime The answers: To My Place, For Air, And See Me Sometime It was a hard question to come up with three answers for, but at the same time it was pretty easy to guess the top answer, so that's good for our contestant. And speaking of our contestant, he makes his H/H choice: this is now King Richard's 45th consecutive H/H attempt. (No other celeb has played a head-to-head question since Fannie in 1132.) Stats: Richard has matched 144 of his 333 most recent attempts (43.2%), 83 of his last 193 attempts (43.0%), 36 of his past 85 attempts (42.4%), 22 of his past 58 attempts (37.9%), and 5 of his past 16 attempts (31.3%). Yeah, I do like Gene's orange 🧡 shirt that he wears quite often, but his tie here has got to go! He usually wears a different tie that matches much better... 🤔

Lol. After watching these in order, I've noticed in the last 5 games straight, they've had questions about Howard Cosell. They really didn't like him. I saw one of these a while back where Gary B was trying to give a nice answer about Howard, and Gene criticized him. Gary then looked at the camera and said "I tried Howard." I wonder if the fact that this show openly disrespected some people kept it from winning awards.

I thought of lube job, tune up, and my favorite thought was "front-end alignment" but I would've gone with tune up even though it sounded pretty boring. (Front-end alignment sounds to me like a Patti Deutsch sort of answer!)
