Matching up a GM power steering pump to a Mustang II rack

This is what I went through getting my GM power steering pump to feed my Mustang II steering rack....
What I was originally going to use is the Borgeson 925101 Power Steering Hose Kit, but it didn't go as planned! I ended up making my own feed line modifying an Edelmann 71088 Power Steering Pressure Hose and fitting an EATON Weatherhead 24706N-E05 Inverted Male Swivel Tube Elbow.
To reduce the pressure of the GM pump for the MII rack I had previously installed the Borgeson 899001 Pressure reducing kit.

... Boy did this bring back memories, I got my hoses on but had frame issues too, Did you remember that the pump pressure is way too high for the rack, I used the borgenson kit to jet down the pump pressure to about 750 lbs. That way you dont blow the rack seals.

Lol. I had bought the Borgeson pressure reducing kit too but when I got in there to install it there was already one there! So I gave the kit i bought to Dave.

I bought the same borgeson kit and had the same problems. Universal my arse. The hp end was 180 degrees in the wrong direction, and as you know, it does not twist. Ended up getting a cutom made pipe in Hamilton, for half the price of the borgeson.

Nice!!!! We have spliced stock hoses Chrysler-Chev and such. You can cut the outside sleave/ clamp and use a hose clamp. A good one. LOL. One thing I do enjoy is if you want to use a fitting like you used you can probably find one. I got the adapters to run the factory fuel lines to the 5.0 fuel rail on the Ranger, I think they may have been Russell and were kind of spendy, but got the job done.

Thanks Michael! I'd be a bit nervous using hose clamps on a pressure line lol, but this fitting worked great. It was hard to find though, and quite spendy.

I just got mine setup, partly thanks to your video. One thing though is it still feels like there's no power steering. Was there a special fill and bleed procedure you followed?

I didnt have to follow any bleed procedure with mine. However my rack and pupm were used and full of fluid already, maybe thats why?
