Too many sports figures are so full of themselves. Recently self aggrandizing and showing disrespect for your opponent has become the norm for so many athletes. Another troubling aspect of this behavior is that the fans seem to like it. Our society needs to start teaching our children respect for others. BTW, Jason Shaw you are one of the worst regarding this. Grow up!

Shaw and Filler are particularly guilty of the behaviour you're talking about. Albin Ouschan is the opposite, which I prefer - cool and respectful. It's maybe the Mosconi Cup that brings out the worst in people. I remember the reason I started playing cue sports was that they were essentially played in silence. Alas, much has changed since then.

I don't think they're being disrespectful at all, just having fun with the crowd. This is the only event where crowd cheering and stuff is allowed, so let them have their fun. In the end they still all respect eachother and still do their handshakes and laugh about games together. You can see woodward and shaw smiling and laughing together in a different match this year (can't remember which one)
