Yes, it works only if you find some strange enough person to play Nd2 on the second move without even developing the dark squared bishop😊
@sauron431311 ай бұрын
Many masters have played this system and while it's very rare it does not give any advantage to black or anything. Point is to go e4 and c3 to have a nice center, and the dark squared bishop doesn't matter too much in these systems as it's often kicked away, but in the future white goes f4, Ndf3 and Be3.

@stamblock10 ай бұрын
@@sauron4313 it is a very solid opening and thats why masters play it to be safe or to secure a draw. Other than that tho its very strange, you block your own bishop and delay many moves to move your knight in a square which isnt needed often and then develop the bishop... Also the traps mostly work on bad players who wouldnt play this way so this trap probably has never even occured in a real game, not even in a rapid game

who tf does Nd2 to prepare c4. like do c4 first then Nc3, then maybe you won't have to unnecessarily waste tempo developing your dark squared bishop and putting your knight in a very passive square
@sauron431311 ай бұрын
@@greenpizza2819 c4 is not the point. White wants to go e4 and has flexibility to push his c-pawn to either c3 or sometimes if black forfeits the center like in King's Indian then c4. As for blocking the dark squared bishop, the knight will move at some point, maybe f4 and Ndf3 or it can be fianchettoed. Anyways the dark square bishop does not matter that much in this system.
