Great video. Im finishing up my second one now for my second grand daughter. First one was made with birch plywood and poplar trim and just clear coated to show the wood. Second one is red oak plywood and red oak trim with the main box stained golden oak, and the trim pieces stained with red oak. The contrast looks amazing. It made me laugh at the end with the child hiding in the box. My grand daughter does that and the first time scared the heck out of my daughter because she couldnt find her! I thought it was funny and high fived my grand daughter, but my daughter was not amused. Great boxes for family fun!

starhawke380 They're great for hiding in! I wish I fit in there. I bet your daughter loves that you're doing this for the girls - a great legacy.

Fantastic build & a big help. Thanks. i have quite a few medical limitations; so my planning stage is going on a year + now. Really need to be sure i have all of my ducks & jigs in a row before pumping up the meds asking for a hand and going for it. Any suggestions about the molding, trim. lid, or hinge? Plan to build mostly like JP- & TG w/ some changes because of my medical situation 1/2 inch not 3/4 etc. Hope you make more videos. Thanks- ♿Lisa🛠

can you tell me where do you get router bit for that molding that goes all around?
@buildwithtom8 жыл бұрын
I got mine at Canadian Tire in a kit. I believe most big box hardware stores will sell individual bits here in Canada. If not maybe check out BusyBee or amazon if all else fails.

did you end up finishing the box? finding the router bit?
@hinduspl8 жыл бұрын
Yep I finished it, but I wasnt able to get that moulding in my country, so I've decided to add some simple one. I think that in future I will invest some money in that bit, because I allready saw it in a couple of projects and its look great.
