Have to say, the Necropolis is one of the more interesting places. It actually feels fantastical. Instead of the usual "the undead are just evil/unholy/must be cleansed," it speaks to the understanding that death and life are unbreakably partnered.

0:38 So just in case you missed it the voices Rook was talking about were coming from that tree you ran by at the time stamp (I know she said the dagger but the tree is what you click on,) you can click on it and there's some dialogue. You can come back and click on the tree for more dialogue throghout the game.

nevarra and the mourn watch are my favourite new addition to dragon age! glad that you finally got to meet them, can't wait for the last companion

There he is! My personal favourite companion 😄. We don't get many older companions in games like these, and I'm very charmed by his character archetype of being a little eccentric, but such a polite gentleman. 😄 Also, as you've seen, the 'more' option in the conversation wheel can advance conversations. It's not very well-designed in terms of the UI 😅. But I think only the icons with a question-mark are ones that are exploratory questions that don't advance the conversation. :)

And thus we get introduced to the best character in the game. Dear Manfred. But in seriousness the Mourn Watch were a surprise hit in this game.

Emmrich is just a single father trying to raise his adopted son.
@ellehcimbelle17 күн бұрын
They said that Necropolis is constantly magically changing, so no Emmrich doesn’t know where rooms are or what he is going to find where-ever you go. It’s why the Mourn Watch ask you to help them with the wisps and hauntings and why it seems ‘insecure’ to you, it’s literally their constant job to try to ‘secure’ it.

I love Emmrich, he’s my favourite companion. And Manfred of course. He was my romance on my first play through and it was very sweet

I enjoy Emmrich and all his eccentricities lol. I also find Vorgoth hilarious. Hearing him do an edgy adlib to whatever Lady Myrna says is just funny to me. One companion left!

I finally caught up with my playthrough so I can watch this spoiler free! I love Necropolis so much!! it looks fantastic, just how I imagined it reading the book! and Emmrich is instantly one of my fave companions! 🥰 He's fabulous!

btw, you can use the skill/spell to avoid taking damage, you don't need to dodge. It works as dodge. crazy.

Much nicer than the last necromancer we met, he's much more chipper and doesn't seem the type to keep his mother in a jar. The artist for Dragon Age, Matt Rhodes, described the Necropolis as an inverse Tower of Babal, "instead of seeking answers from the heavens they seek them in the grave."

Manfred is the best. Seriously. I never win in rock, scissor, hand.

Neve said: "Chase the right bastard through the wrong ritual - it'll knock you right out. Of course, you might wake up with a new accessory..." I think the implication might be that while on a case pursuing the Venatori, she got badly injured, fell unconscious, and a doctor had to amputate and replace her lower leg.

The way I understand it, you get optional "horrified/icked" options when discussing necromancy. I guess this is for roleplaying purposes, which is neat.

56:59 this scene is pretty much Neve explaining her leg. She got hurt chasing some bad guy, lost her leg, and got a prosthetic. Afaik Neve is not in any supplemental media. Funnily enough, I'm pretty sure this scene can only happen if you save Minrathous, so if you don't, you *really* get absolutely no mention on her leg lol (which is fine! I love the casual representation approach of not making it a Big Deal)

1:22:57 There actually is a normal block but just not for the Rogue, both the Warrior and Mage have a normal block you can just hold, the Rogue on the other hand is all parries and dodges.

Some people find necromancy "icky" or whatever. But it's an accepted school of magic, not forbidden like blood magic.
@nightfrost189121 күн бұрын
pretty much, it's more of a 'kind of creepy' thing and less of a 'EvIL mAgIc FoR pOwEr' thing dorian specialized in necromancy too

It still bothers me that nobody in Nevarra shares Cassandra's accent. She might be the first Nevarran that Harding ever knew so what is she to think now? "Maybe Cassandra had a speech impediment?"
@aknelson22921 күн бұрын
Cass's accent was too unique for other actors to replicate

i mean i thought the evanuris would sound like solas too since even abelas had the same accent but i guess not lol
