Click on the video description under the title, it’s pretty much all about Vlad 😂 the actual guest is barely mentioned at all “Vlad didn't hold back, asserting that Eminem, who has consistently honed his craft, emerged more skillfully in the track compared to LL, who has taken a hiatus from rapping. Vlad praised LL Cool J as a defining legend in hip-hop, emphasizing his pivotal role at Def Jam and his prowess in lyrical battles. However, Vlad felt that LL sounded rusty, attempting to match Eminem's intricate style but failing due to his absence from the rap scene”

LL did not sound rusty. Here's what I told all my friends after listening to it. My gut tells me Em pulled back ever so slightly out of respect and LL stepped up his game to max level out of respect. At the end of the day they sounded on par OVERALL, accounting for flow, energy, etc, etc, including lyricism. If I just look at the number double or entendres or number of internal rhymes than yes, Em by outdid LL but when listening to a song I look at the whole package untless there's some serious areas lacking. LL was well-rounded on that track and stepped up his lyrical game. Em and Em but maybe slightly and respectfully not trying to top himself. The end result was well balanced. LL did his things for sure.

The first mistake was putting Eminem on the album, but secondly it’s just a showcase of Eminem’s lack of diversity. Eminem is never made to come into the world of other artists, they all essentially do Eminem records. Vlad needs to keep quiet with LL sounding rusty. LL got busy and should get credit for matching Em with a style designed for Em. See what would have happened if the shit was flipped the other way around.

It’s no way you could get that from the song. Number 1, think about how the amount of style LL has switched to. He started the aggressive rock and roll style, spearheaded the Rap/R&b style, didn’t rap boom bap era style, and did modern rap style. No other artists has done this and stayed relevant. Kool Mo Dee and Run DMC could not evolve.

Vlad acts like his opinion is the only one that matters when in reality he usually has the worst opinion of all.

MATH preaching tho: People really need to stop unconditionally conflating lyrical miracle syllable techniques with skill. You got dudes like Em & Pun: then you got dudes like Pac n Prodigy. They are all supreme artists, amazing lyricists and timeless poets. Too many people nowadays automatically assume intricacy = quality! 😤

I don't think either outdid the other, actually I think they both toned it down to make the overall balance work...had either gone IN it would've showed itself, trust me, they made a conscious effort to keep the vibe from seeming like they're competing on the song

And I think Jay jumped into an old rhyming pattern from back in the day. I dont think he wasn't "being himself." Jay just evolved over time.
