Would really love to see the extent of what these tools are able to do in a everyday setting. The split interface looks great, but can we expect this to work like shown in Bard(2)? Also the system prompt looked quite extensive, with examples, informations and much more. Is the shown performance tied into putting a lot of effort into the setup? Will there maybe be something similar to GPTs for experts to build these assistants and then people using them with much simpler instructions? It looks great, but it does seem very demo-esque, and i am sceptical if the tool we will be able to use comes close to the capabilities shown here or in other videos

I don't know there's something wrong in my end but even with the advanced model, it can't even do simple sum of the integers in the interval [-4, 6), it kept randomizing every answer, i even told it the answer and it said "yes you are correct" and it didn't say the answer i provided, it randomized it again

We have to face the fact that the distinction between what is information, what is technology, and what is knowledge is becoming increasingly irrelevant. What we need as humans is to distinguish between knowledge and wisdom. In fact, there has always been a distinction between knowledge and wisdom in human society, it's just that wisdom has been treated as less important than knowledge in society. I think that in the future, society will want to distinguish between knowledge and wisdom more and more. The biggest problem right now is that we will need more knowledge that integrates individual subjects and disciplines, and professionals who remain in the realm of fragmented knowledge will lose their place. AI will surpass humans in dealing with complex knowledge. What is needed is judgment about whether such knowledge is needed and how to create it, and there is a very wide range of areas to think about.

Showed this to my wife who has been teaching for over 20 years. A few things she pointed out... 1) Homework is dumb. 2) If you give a kid homework, they just want to get it done (focus is on completion, not learning the material). So they'd probably just use Gemini to answer the question any way they can - not work it out for themselves. 3) a kid is not likely to ask for *more* work by asking for sample problems. 4) the parental element here is suspect. We'd like to think that the parents who are paying attention would use this wisely, but those are, unfortunately, probably in the minority.

It knows only things of the flesh (our fleshly desires) and cannot comprehend things of the spirit such as peace of heart (which comes from obeying God's Word).
