They are given as the center of the circle.

Hi when you say you double -2 do you Multiply it or do you add -2-2 just like if the number were -9-9=-18?

You can either do 2*-2 or you can add -2+-2. You would get the same thing. Yes, it it were -9, you could do -9*2 or -9+-9, both would give -18. The center value is always twice the product of the terms.

It's okay not to have the "ax" in your answer. You are just adding 0. You would just go to the next term.

Yes, you would only have to expand the (y-6)^2 part to be y^2-12y+36. Then put it all together and combine like terms. x^2+y^2-12y+36=19. Subtract the 19 from the 36, and that would be your final answer.

Their answer for 2√2² is 4 not 8

If you put 2√2^2 without the ( ), then it would be 4, because you are only squaring the √2. For the one I did, I was squaring both 2 and √2 which is 8. You have to put it in your calculator as (2√2)^2 to get 8. Hope that makes sense.

Don't forget about the 4. You have 121+4 as constants on the left. 121+4=125. When you subtract the 8, you get 117.
