Tom, I see he installed the SSA55, but I recently ordered the SSA11 for my Sprinter as that was what was specified on Amazon for my year Sprinter (2020 170 WB 4x2). Do both kits work on my van?

Very helpful. I think that U bolt is for folks without big C clamp, just for getting the 2nd bolt in place. I saw another video doing this. I think Superspring caught on and started including it by the time you did yours…

Good job, might be a bit safer if you put a axel stand each side in case jack fails in some way, even with wheels still on can bounce a long way down for you on the tightest place under the vehicle.

I Installed the Supersprings on my 2017 Sprinter which is used for hauling cargo. First tip ..remove the wheels... it will make it much easier instead of laying on the ground. I attached one side and used a ball joint c clamp to attach the other side. The hard part was installing those pesky Sumosprings ... it was 2 Celsius in Toronto today so I ended up installing the rear systems only and replaced the shocks with Monroe Heavy Duty Shocks. I measured a 1/2" lift in the back... Tomorrow will change to the SumoSprings in the front and replacing shock struts with Monroe Heavy duty. Thank you for the 15% discount using your promo code ... 👍

After doing some reading on SuperSprings's website, it would seem the sumo springs are the best way to go. I hope you'll share your experience and insight on how those work, when and if they arrive... I'd be interested in learning how you determined which of the three 'weights' to get and whether or not you got some for the front and rear or just rear...
@SuperSpringsInternational2 жыл бұрын
Hey @@owenparker6651 👋🏼 SuperSprings and SumoSprings will do different things, as well provide some cross over. The SumoSprings are pretty fantastic solution for vibration reduction, stopping harsh rebounds, and improving all around driving. They should also get your van back to ride height in most cases. The SuperSprings will dramatically change your body roll and rear ride height, and even get you 1/2" of "lift". Now, adding both the SuperSprings and SumoSprings together is where we're headed from a kitting perspective - we plan to start selling the whole bundle - front and rear SumoSprings + SuperSprings - in the very near future! - Tom
@MathersOnTheMap2 жыл бұрын

Hey TY for this video. While I have a Thor Class C 25F RV, I'm hoping for the same experience you guys had. I'm also going to install a Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar tomorrow morning as well. That should also - or so I'm told & hoping - that working in tandem, they should both significantly lessen the amount of sway on both the front end & rear ends of the vehicle. We're planning on making a trek across the U.S. shortly from the West Coast to the East Coast and back. If it's possible to show pics of my install, I'd be happy to. Later Guys. Semper Fi.

Can you share why you used the lowest hole for your bot and nuts versus the 1st or middle holes
@ianf8005 Жыл бұрын
So if you go to the third bolt it would give you maximum lift? I'm hoping for the maximum lift as I believe this would provide a smoother ride on a rough road. It would give more travel distance for the shocks to do their dampening which might prevent the bump feeling that comes with hitting the sumo spring bump stops. That said, I'm not an expert.
@ianf8005 Жыл бұрын
I just talked to a rep from SuperSprings and he confirmed this. For maximum lift you need to crank to the highest of the 3 bolts . Mathers used the lowest. This will give a smoother ride with less harsh bumps as you have more travel distance before hitting the bump stop.
@Scrambler852 жыл бұрын
Good job on the installation, well done. You are going to like the Sumo springs. My van was scary when I got it. I add a heavy duty rear anti swaybar, a set of air bags. They helped a lot. When I added the Sumo springs to the front it made the ride and handling much better. Hats off to Kevin for the winter modifications, I have been complaining about the 55-65 degree days here🥶. Always a thumbs up 👍
