Woops! I left a question on Super Springs video. Ignore that. I am now a learnid man regarding the difference between helper and Sumo springs. My camper remains loaded full time. Helper springs is the obvious choice. Thank you for posting these demonstration videos! They help a lot!

I have a 2015 F550 rollback and I need whichever product reduces rear sag the most - The absolute most extreme product for reducing rear squat b/c the factory overloads are already making contact BEFORE it’s loaded with 2 vehicles.

Hi, thanks for reaching out! I'd recommend our SSA17 or our SSA26. Our SSA26 is the strongest. You'd probably require our ITL-8 tool to install it. But that'll get rid of the squat. - Josh

Added the blue summo springs to my 4Runner. As the springs are always in contact you can feel the difference. The 4Runner is not as smooth. It’s a little choppy. However, they do work. Fully loaded using the third row it does keep the 4Runner from sagging as much. Also improved the cornering a bit. They work but there is a pay off. I have Timbrens on my truck. They sit an inch above the contact point. So with those the ride remains the same until they make contact. Then they are really stiff. It does control the sag thigh. Again, a pay off as these are stiffer. I had airbags on my previous truck. Not recommended, but I kept them at 5 lbs of air to not stiffen the ride when empty. Bags where great for maxing out the truck, just a pain having to air up. Installing an air compressor drastically increases the price. Thus these too are a pay off.

Thanks for sharing your experience! It's great to hear that the SumoSprings are keeping your 4Runner level and improving cornering, even though they might feel a bit firmer compared to the stock setup. Unlike Timbrens that sit above the contact point and can feel stiff when engaged, SumoSprings are designed to provide progressive resistance, offering a smoother ride until they compress, providing a more comfortable experience overall. As for airbags, while they can be great for heavy loads, the need for air compressors and the potential to stiffen the ride can be drawbacks. SumoSprings offer a middle ground, providing support without the hassle or compromise in ride quality. It's all about finding the right balance for your needs, and we're glad to hear that SumoSprings are working well for you!

On a positive note regarding the Summos, having them in for about a year now, the jarring ride has subsided as they are now broken in. Still controls sagging and keeps the decent cornering. For our SUV I feel this is the better cost effective option.

@@jor8061 Thanks for sharing your follow-up experience with SumoSprings on your 4Runner! It's great to hear that after some time, the ride has become smoother and more controlled. This highlights one of the key benefits of SumoSprings-they tend to improve with time as they 'break in,' providing consistent support and comfort. Your comparison with other options like Timbrens and airbags also shows how SumoSprings offer a cost-effective solution without sacrificing performance. Here's to many more smooth and sag-free miles ahead with your 4Runner!

Would the Super Springs allow more load capacity to an F-550, just help with sagging, or both? It's always loaded at near maximum payload and infrequently tows trailers under 5,000 pounds. Would it improve handling or possibly make it less likely to rollover?

For trailer SumoSprings, we need the GAWR, not the GVWR. If the GAWR is between 3,000 and 5,000 pounds, I would recommend the blue springs. If it’s between 5,000 and 8,000 pounds, I would recommend the black springs. Hope this helps!

I have a 2007 Dolphin 6320 (34' actual length) class A Motor Home. It's on a M22 Workhorse chassis. The wheel base is really too short for it's length. I have added Track bars front and rear, heavy duty sway bars, Koni gold shocks, steering stabilizer, and it still sways side-to-side in the rear. It is enough to make handeling somewhat difficult. Which of your products do you think would SOLVE this expensive problem? Many thanks!!

Looking at adding a SSA26 to my 2006 F550 rollback, they bolt on top of the overload spring, could it not be adjusted so that they are not contacting the overload perch until weigh is loaded therefore not affect the unloaded ride quality? Not that its great now, just wouldn't want it much worse.
@SuperSpringsInternational
@SuperSpringsInternational 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Chase, For the F550. The SSA26 will engage the overload spring and add a lot of preload to the leaf pack. Because of this, the overload perches are not used anymore. However, since the preload is much higher, the ride will be noticeably firmer. And the ride height is higher when the truck is empty. That's the give/take you have with adding SuperSprings to strengthen the suspension. - Josh

Need the perfect Sumo Springs for my new 2022 ram rebel 1/2 ton ....btw the rebel has a stock 2"plus lift which makes it difficult to get the proper airsprings / sumo's or timbrens to get the suspension helper system to engage as soon as possible so that the truck doesn't sag too much before the system is engaged....please advise... I like the idea of the micro cellular design that offers progressive resistance rather than the timbrens material so I hope that there is a solution to this ram rebel stock lift issue. Cheers

I'm thinking I need blue. I load up my bed pretty good for camping trips. Getting a camper top next year, but nothing crazy heavy. Not thinking at all of doing anything major to the stock suspension. That chassis vibration you mentioned. When I'm on dirt roads and hit some washboard partches, the truck does start vibrating pretty good. Enough that I feel I have to carefully slow down, like I don't have totally good steering until it stops. Would these help with that? I

We have a 2012 F250 Super Duty that we use to pull a Fifth Wheel with a 2800 lb pin weight. We only take it out 15-20 times per year. I'm guessing the SumoSprings would be better than the SuperSprings but not sure which "color". Am I incorrect or I guess I should say "what is your recommendation"? I'm confused with the Sumospring ratings. The blue have 1000lbs limit at 50% compression, the blacks 1500lbs at 50% compression & the yellow 2800lbs at 50%compression. I have a Fiat Ducato H2L2 converted to a campervan, the kerb weight of an empty van is 1900kg (4188lbs) & the max payload is rated at 3300kg (7275lbs), mine now weighs in at 2980kg (6569lbs) Your spec stated the springs shouldn't regularly be compressed more than 55%. So which Sumosprings would I actually need? Just to note, my leak springs have sagged & the OEM upper & lower bumpstops are within 15mm of touching! The weight of the van doesn't change much, except for fresh water (+/- 50kgs...) Many thanks.

Hi Lindsay! That's right, SumoSprings are your best option here. Depending on how regular this is you have the option of either the blue (-40) or black (-47) SumoSprings option. Great videos and maybe once I have seen them all I might have a good few of them answered. I find the comments very useful and you do a great job answering. So I too am reaching out .... I have new GMC 3500 HD Diesel and a new Cirrus 820 Camper. Great combo; works well so far. My camper unit - with me, my wife, the dog and the eggs, coffee and milk - uses 3600lbs or so of my payload. I added a 5 leaf upper stabilizer at the recommendation of my local independant suspension guy. This helped a bunch with sag and some sway, but now I am still a bit bouncy and I experience (and really now notice) PORPOISING !! Yikes - that dreaded movement front to back and back to front. Would the blue Sumo Springs be of assistance? I believe something to stop the "to and fro" sooner than later would be the answer. Is it a spring issue or a shock issue? Thanks in advance and I will keep watching. I might reach out to your help line to discuss. We will use the camper lots in the spring to fall, and when we have the camper on it might be there for a while. We will also use the truck because it is a truck. Maybe 50/50 use with heavy load

Currently I have yellow super springs on my 2020 GMC DENALI 3500. Told they don’t engage until there is at least 6000lbs attached to the bumper or fifth wheel hitch and won’t affect the ride because of this. Is this true? Are there logical reasons to add the Sumo bump stops to my truck? I’m towing a 15000 lb fifth wheel toyhauler with a Tripple axle and a 5000 lb payload capacity. The side by side weights approximately 2000 lbs and my wife will bring 2000 lbs of cargo for sure so I’m thinking we will be close on our GWCR rating of 29700 lbs. Are there any logical reasons to add super springs and or sumo bump stops to my fifth wheel? Thanks very much!

Hi Dell, thanks for reaching out. You have a heavy build, so I recommend the SSR-203-47-2 on the truck and the -47 Trailer SumoSprings on the 5th wheel. I need to know if the trailer is spring-over or spring-under axle to give you the exact part number.

I have a Class B based on an extended body Ford Transit 350 HD dually. It came with Supersprings installed. Handling is nice, but would it be OK to add Sumosprings to help dampen the biggest bumps? If yes, what color should we consider. Unloaded weight is about 8700 LB. Thanks for the great videos!

Hi Jon - I also responded in the other video, sounds like you may have the SSA43 already! Love that! I'd recommend you add the SSR-121-40 in the rear to get the vibration reduction and damping. If you don't already have the front coil SumoSprings (it sounds like you might) then you'd want the CSS-1195 there. -Tom

One last question before I order--I just wanted to make sure you thing the Blue (40) is the best one. Given the descriptions, I thought the Black (47) might be the fit for this weight. Or is the Blue better since I already have the SSA43 springs. Thanks again!

Would having a track bed cap, bedslide and roof top tent be considered as a permanent load? Total weight around 550 lb on chevy 1500. Which would work best for this scenario?

Yeah you can! We've had a number of people do that. You're going to get the best of both worlds. The SuperSprings will give you the ride height, stability and sway control. The SumoSprings are going to give you all the damping and vibration reduction. We'd love to get your feedback once they're in place. Will you be making a video? -Tom

Hi there 👋🏼 This is an awesome question @norvlak! We're literally editing a new episode of this series about using them together. The short answer is YES! (depending on your vehicle.) The SuperSpring will provide constant load assistance and body roll reduction while the SumoSpring will provide shock absorption, vibration reduction, and damping. Look for the new episode coming very soon. - Tom

Hi Chris! For this, I'd go with our Blue Rear SumoSprings. They'll give you the best/most unaffected unloaded ride, and then give you a bunch of load support when you hook up the pontoon or fill the bed with camping gear! SSR-307-40 is the part number for your truck. -Tom
