@@pokeperson1000 Actually no! That is why I needed closure. As it turns out, in the Sunset Shimmer music video 'Let It Rain' (actually, has Mathew reacted to that one? I don't recall so...) we see the security guard listening to Sunset sing on stage, and he has the kitten with him! There's no explanation _why_ because as you say, the time loop which Sunset originally gives him the kitten gets reset, but I suppose we can just assume off-screen shenanigans. Maybe Sunset decided to just give him the kitten again.

Gen 5 just goes all in on the sticky hooves though. There's one especially egregious example early on where Sunny "holds on" to the back of a trolley to be pulled along behind it, by just pressing her hoof against it. 2:31 Twilight knows teleportation magic, and also it was in the first season and she was stressed because it had been a long time without any "friendship problems" popping up and since Princess Celestia sent Twilight Sparkle to Ponyvile to learn about friendship, Twilight was worried that Celestia would think she was slacking or something (it's been a long while so I don't remember it perfectly). So Twilight Sparkle kept searching the whole town for friendship issues to fix while becoming more unhinged the longer she couldn't find any. Then she did something dumb by cursing a dilapidated old plushie of hers to make anyone who views it fight over having it so that she would have a problem to solve, but then a few minutes later she realized how stupid she was and had to try to track down the plushie to uncurse it. And yes, afyer the plushie incident was resolved she did end up telling Celestia about her own mistake and why she did it and Celestia helped calm Twilight down.

There's a reason why it got so popular for the entirety of it's run in the first place. It has similar humor and clever writing, that the 90's and 2000's cartoons had. It also features incredibly wholesome and surprisingly dark/mature moments from time to time. Just the perfect comfort show.
