I'd recommend Lemonade Mouth! It's one of the most well-made Disney Channel movies in my opinion. It has characters with depth, and really great music. (think The Breakfast Club if the characters were a band)

Fun fact: a different version of High School Musical exists for latin american kids where all the songs are in latin american styles and instead of basketball they play soccer. Edit: I decided to fact check myself so I looked further into it and turns out there are mexican, brazilian and argentinan versions of high school musical, with different styles of music and slightly different plots, from what I understand.

Now thats nostalgia!! Didn't even watch it when it came out but still. "Breaking free" and "We're all in this together" were kind of the theme songs of my last year of school. It was played over and over by my classmates especially in the last week, where we have kind of a themeweek, so everybody comes dressed up. It was so fun!! Also my god do I feel "When there was me and you". This movie is both incredibly nostalgic and fun to watch but also cringey and kind of annoying at times, but sometimes you just need those vibes.

2 and 3 are so much better than the first and no one can change my mind. I feel like people only love the first movie because of nostalgia, and I know I do too to some degree, but the sequels hold up so erll and have a better story/plot, better songs, better acting, etc. It's just only improvements as you go.
