Another great short film by Leica. I'd happily watch a longer version.

Wow ! Those pictures are amazing. Absolute magic. When it comes to this stuff, some people are just "different". Their pictures are "different". We *want* to look at them, and see *more* of them. That's this guy.

Cool video. Love that he has a copy of Jazz Life by Claxton and a Herman Leonard print on the wall. Some of my favorites.

Compared to the several videos out there on the M10-P, and in the mix of telling us about his philosophy on photography, Mathieu surprisingly provides the most to the point & concise M10-P review...

Great video, he talks with such passion about his subjects even though it’s a video about gear. Seems like a good dude too. 👍

Sublimes photos et parfait hommage à ce qui est et restera le cœur de la photographie. I switched to Fuji but Leica is the place where it all began

I think any photographer claiming they're photographing 'history' doesn't know what history is. The act of photography happens in the moment something (an action, an event, a person, or thing) is witnessed. Photography reveals an aspect, a perspective of history, but the story of history is in the process (cause-action/event/person/thing-consequence). There are lots of histories and, many more histories which haven't been photographed. Photography is another primary source, but photography is not 'history'.

I think that Mathieu Bitton is a talented "jack-of-all-trades", a kind of "history maker" who share a timeless story on his work, that simply calls on our heart and soul...

Jonathon, I read your short essay, looked at your image, now you're history.

Jonathan Nicholson I believe anything we experience is part of our history. Everything we capture, captures our and our subjects’ history.

Apti Newim yes actually. My dad is an art collector and it’s been a ritual for him since the mid-sixties, to go to the Paris flea market every Sunday. That didn’t change when I was born, my parents just had me in the stroller at the flea market every Sunday. And we still go every time I’m in Paris. Cheers.
