I'm not sure I agree with Mathis on this case. It was not a case about tolerance, but rather, a case about deception. Deception is a form of fraud. Under a strict interpretation of the law, one could argue that the sister use fraud (deception) to get the sister's money. The law does not allow bait-and-switch.

I agree with you. The defendant didn’t tell the plaintiff because she knew the plaintiff was not gonna pay for it if she knew the aunt was coming. But also the defendant invited the aunt. So that says a lot. That’s the issue.

I can’t stand this, just because the aunt old doesn’t mean you have to put up with it. Why on earth is the plaintiff having to defend herself. The organiser was is an ignorant insensitive woman, I bet there wasn’t even an acknowledgement of the harm this plaintiff has been through, awful, just awful.

I disagree she may not have given the money or come like she said had she known the aunt was going to be there I feel like her choice was taken away

Whew! Judge Mathis should be careful when playing with the Word of Yah. We all know what sin is and what they are. All sin in all forms is what Yah hates and our job is to rebuke it and try not to go into it. Every day we wake is another day to give thanks and ask for forgiveness.
