This was probably my favorite case. I recorded parts of it with my tape recorder as a kid. we didn't have a VCR. Soo good to see it again!

Aw, I used to do that too! I remember listening to The Case of the Unkidnapping a lot. 😊

God they need to bring Square One TV or Mathnet by itself back. I loved it as a child and love it more as an adult!

The writing is actually pretty good. Lots of dry cheesy humor.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! My 3rd graders are working on the Fibonacci sequence and they don't get it. I have been telling them about this Mathnet case and they've wanted to see it but I haven't been able to find this episode in its entirety. I was just going to show them the clips available today when this gem showed up in my search. We watched the first segment and the kids love it! Again thank you so much uploading this!

Nice to see that some kids appreciate the great stuff I had when I was a kid (I can't say "we," because I have no idea of your age, and I was a kid of the 80's)

I've remembered this one, after seeing the Pinky and the Brain episode where Brain makes a device to make Pinky smart, the mention of the Fibonacci Sequence that made me want to look it up.. I had started to think I had imagined this episode. Thanks!

0:40 Ah, nothing like a good practical joke. :-) 1:01 Who is George thinking of? 1:25 I imagine the sexism is accidental and naive. 13:17 The parrot quoting the Raven. 20:35 "Missing avis." I.e. missing bird. I never understood that the first time I ever saw that. 32:22 "These are not the droids you're looking for." :-) 37:00 I remember being real worried at this part. 38:27 This too. 40:55 He has "fast clothes"? 41:03 Technically, they can't legally do that without a search warrant. 43:20 "Stay here while I get you arrested." 54:31 The music always makes a difference.

you can tell that the person who voiced the Parrott was also the voice of the Whammy,from the Gameshow "Press Your Luck",@47:52 it even says "Big Bucks,Big Bucks" as an inside joke!!!!!
@michaelglickman1300 Жыл бұрын
Nope, Jim Thurman voiced Little Louie, while the Whammy was voiced by "Press Your Luck" co-creator/executive producer/director Bill Carruthers.

Interesting. This is the first episode where they are using their lights from the patrol car. It is implied since you don't really see the actors driving the car with the lights on. The perspective is from inside the car looking out as it's rolling up to the scene.

Does anyone find it ironic that the safe deposit box was at the Next to the Last National Bank, which George was framed for robbing in "The Trial of George Frankly?"

It's explained at the 27:00 minute mark. Thou if ya mean the tiles on the wall.. Remember there is only 5 tiles. Think of it like Military time. If the number is greater then 12 (5 in this case) subtract 12 (five again here)

0:44 That was FUNNY! ~ Could I get some help please? I know how to set up the problem to be solved, and I know that part is right, but the math doesn't work out ~ [Martin has a total of 19 Nickels & Dimes worth $1.65. How many of each type of coin does he have? #1.} [N + D = 19] #2.} [5N + 10D = 165] #3.} [D = 19 - N] #4.} [5N + 190 - 10N = 165] #5.} [-5N = -35] #6.} [N = 7] This isn't right, however, because 7 Nickels is 35 Cents and 12 Dimes is $1.20 They only total $1.55]
@nickam82986 ай бұрын
Take equation number 4 and subtract 190 from both sides. -5N = -25. This gives you 5 nickels and 14 dimes
