this is the dictionary definition of unfair student density was majorly concentrated in just the first two days i checked the laws but unfortunately there is no law that penalises the unfair conducting of national level examinations by a government body [there is a law against unfairness in admission into national institutes of technology, science and research but not the conducting method] had there been one we could've taken legal action against NTA because this is unacceptable there has already been a 🙂🔫 after the results were declared... and more to come. all thanks to the incompetence of NTA, whose tagline is "excellence in assessment" the only thing they're excellent in is population control

I gave 31 shift 1 ...chem was from ncert ..but one assumption that most teachers take is every thing from ncert is easy.....form student point learning every line of ncert is way harder than what any teacher would think ....hence when even ncert based deep questions are asked its tough

completely wrong. jee and neet are different exams. one is based on relative score and one is based on absolute score. if all the students have one shift, the benchmark for 99 percentile will be min. 240. for everyone. there's definitely been some kind of misconduct for 27,29 shift candidates bec 236 for 99 is insane. neet jaise hogaya.

Actually %ile system can be used fairly but NTA messed it up by slacking off... They just put maximum number of students in 2-3 shifts (comprising almost 50-60% of total students)... Furthermore they selected bunch of students who filled the form early n put them into 1st shift n the next bunch into next shift n so on...only few students who filled form late were in these shifts...)...now what we generally see is coaching teachers n all advice students to fill the form early n so most of the good students n high scorers got concentrated in just 2-3 shifts...n to make things worse they gave easy papers on those days/shifts)... While on the other hand in the later shifts the chunk of students who filled the form in mid nov or later were there n comprised of less high scoring students....furthermore the total students in later shifts comprised only 20-30% of total students n the cherry on top was the hard paper...thus the marks vs percentile for these shifts has such a huge disparity.... This is a complete blunder by NTA...n this has actually caused many students to lose a chance of fair attempt...now all of them who were expecting a good percentile at 200 around marks will work for mains 2nd attempt thus affecting their prep for advance...I think NTA should think of a method to compensate for it as the one at fault is the organising committee n not the students.... If u think u have suffered injustice then u can - 1. File for RTI (right to information) regarding number of students in each shift/number of high scorers in each shift 2. Take it on twitter/social media platform to condemn NTA for their actions while also demanding a fair 2nd attempt 3. - Demand equal distribution of number of students in each shift - Equal number of high scorers in each shift (based on Jan attempt) - equal difficulty level of each shift... I hope NTA acts responsibly as this is a career exam n not just any other exam which they are messing with...

⚠⚠⚠⚠I've a theory, don't know if its crct of not, but there maybe a huge scame running behind us. 40% of the students along with toppers gave exam in 27th Jan, and 20-30% in 29th and some in 30th Jan, the left was 31st Jan and 1st Feb with very few number of students. Now, if the programm of nta puts students randomly then every shift would be having equal percentage of toppers , but its not the case. mainly 27, 29 and 30th shifts had the most number of toppers specially in 27th. NTA finished almost all toppers and avg students in this shifts and made the shift easy, so that it'd seem so normal. And at the last 2 days, they put the students of the organisations/politicians in those last shifts with very few toppers and mostly weaker students. This can be a smart way of cheating without actually cheating. Now you'd be worrying that how they'll identify toppers/avg etc students. Mind that they have our school names, medium, urban/rural locations and most imp 10th and 12th marks. (One more story its from one of my friend no matter you believe or not, She has a friend of who gave the exam and after the exam day she receives a call from unknown number which is from the same invigilator of her shift and he asked her to be his friend and in return he'll make her into top colleges by manipulating marks and he've done so in past as well) ⚠⚠Once again, my idea of discrepancy is just a speculation of me, ik i can be wrong.⚠⚠ please put your views on this conspiracy!

The difference happened because NTA made 2 mistakes, the first mistake was that almost 60% students appeared for the exam in the first 2 days, that too in the first shift, mostly in the first shift, which means you did not do the correct distribution, statistical error, the second mistake was that the shuffling of the application forms was not done, which means first. Shifts were allotted on first survey basis, children who are serious file the form first, except a few at the last moment, most of the cases are of those who are giving NEET or are just coming in trial mode, this is what happened this time. .

Anup Sir, quite a few comments made by you on percentile is surprising given that you are one of the best Maths teachers in the country. Lets assume 2 lakh kids each wrote the first 4 shifts... wont you have 2000 each from these in 99 percentile & if 80K each wrote the balance shifts wont they have only 800 each? Aren't these statistically significant enough sample sizes? Reason is simple.. the papers which had high cut offs were 1) easier 2) had less error.. so kids did not lose time & confidence (I am sure you know how much impacts the kids). Don't forget that this time JEE schedule was announced well in advance and kids were very well prepared. The moment they got a relatively easier paper (that was not capable of differentiating the mugging type & concept understanding type students) they feasted on it. Let us not blame statistics. We should blame NTA for not being able to prepare quality papers

The people claiming that NTA released correct data. So the thing is stats ek aisi cheez hai ki agar aap bohot bade data ka small portion bhi dekhte ho (here 14000 out of 11 lakhs), then also the data is pretty accurate. zyada se zyada 5%-6% ka difference aa jayega. Mathongo claims 21.6% in 27s1 and NTA claims 10%, that is absolute BS cuz zyada se zyada 15-16% hoga which also is a lot and disadvantageous to some children.

There may be three reasons for disparity (1) simple vs tough questions (but variation may not be that much), (2) variation in number of students, (3) regional factor (imagine if 4 lakh students of Kota/Hyderabad appeared in first batch, their marks will be higher than other sessions where their number is lesser).

True...scoring 200+ is not ez even if paper is easy af: 1. Not everyone done 100% syllabus. So there is lil stuff u don't know about. 2. Speed, no matter if paper is easy, you can't get 200+ easily due to doing around 70questions while focusing on accuracy. 3. There are people who get lucky and make many errors in ez paper I got 215 because it was 30s1, and less chances of errors in harder papers

What do you think about "1 paper for all" ? Yaar Maine toh nhi bola tha mujhe easy shift do. Maine 2-3 saal taiyari Kiya aur itna taiyari toh kar hi liya tha ki physics & chemistry me difficult se difficult question kar saku. Agar shift tough hota toh bas time zyada lagta aur main 4-5 question Kam karta. Difference of 60 or 80 for same percentile is not acceptable 💔😢

Actually %ile system can be used fairly but NTA messed it up by slacking off... They just put maximum number of students in 2-3 shifts (comprising almost 50-60% of total students)... Furthermore they selected bunch of students who filled the form early n put them into 1st shift n the next bunch into next shift n so on...only few students who filled form late were in these shifts...)...now what we generally see is coaching teachers n all advice students to fill the form early n so most of the good students n high scorers got concentrated in just 2-3 shifts...n to make things worse they gave easy papers on those days/shifts)... While on the other hand in the later shifts the chunk of students who filled the form in mid nov or later were there n comprised of less high scoring students....furthermore the total students in later shifts comprised only 20-30% of total students n the cherry on top was the hard paper...thus the marks vs percentile for these shifts has such a huge disparity.... This is a complete blunder by NTA...n this has actually caused many students to lose a chance of fair attempt...now all of them who were expecting a good percentile at 200 around marks will work for mains 2nd attempt thus affecting their prep for advance...I think NTA should think of a method to compensate for it as the one at fault is the organising committee n not the students...

Ayjr appreciation comment! I got 99.01%ile in Ayjr, and when Anup sir said for most of the students the real result will be almost same or even better, I WAS SKEPTICAL down to my last tissue. Sir I have to say, Your marks vs percentile analysis is exactly correct I have got 97.8%ile ( 30 jan shift 2) and counted marks around 164 ,even subjectwise is accurate. And also Thank you for your Test series, it helped a lot!!
