17:34 the answer should be 4 because i did 0.5 times 32 to get b squared on it own so i had b squared equals 16 then i squared both sides to get b only and b equaled 4

I am sure he showed 32/0.5 = 64, then square root of 64 = 8 (your are also square rooting b2 to JUST get b on its own) so b = +-8

first he multiplies then he divides for question 1 a he multiplies and the b he divided whatttttt i dont get this.

It depends on what answer you want. For example, if you get into a situation where x = 3 (9) It is simple multiplication x = 27 BUT you could also get 20 = 2 (b) So you want to isolate 'b', so you then divide 10 = b
