What is the significance of the bracketed numbers in the title?[7-4-20] Also, how are the videos organized? I was trying to watch the sequence from ratios to proportions to proportions in word problem,etc. in order.

The process of dividing 75 by both sides is too lengthy why not use change of subject formula instead, for me that's a lot more easier.

Because I am building your skills in preparation to solve more complex equations. If you take shortcuts here that's fine, but you won't be building any algebra skills to be used later when things get more complex.

It's as simple as x=75/15×2

Could one say proportions are same as percentages

Percentage is a ratio whereas the proportion is a ratio of two equivalent ratios. We can use proportion to solve the percentage problems Eg. what is 30% of 300? 30/100=x/300 x=90.
