So confused, He says our sun will undergo a supernova explosion at 1:54. Our sun will not undergo a supernova explosion. It would need to be at least 8 times as massive to supernova. I have no clue how he made this mistake and it went into the video. Otherwise Jason is an absolutely excellent tutor and his videos are excellent and inspiring. I guess everybody makes mistakes, lol.

At 1.28 he says that the sun will expand and cool and it will then be known as a red giant. Maybe this is the section that shows he hasn’t made a mistake

No it won't. And it will not produce iron. I am surprised and disappointed.

What an amazing universe we have. Just here in our solar system, there is so much yet to know. Some nights i go out, under my telescope just to stare at whatever i can see to be overawed by. Other nights i do a bit of "work" on Astronomical League programs. Then on those too frequent nights when there are too many clouds, im learning physics on this channel to better understand it all. Amazing, incredible, fantastic, and any other inadequate adjective. A little like Socrates, the more we know, the more we know that we dont know.

Sun's photosphere density = 3 x 10^-7 g/cc 😛 Meaning it's thinner than air on earth. Note that the cloud on earth we see in the sky is not gas or plasma, it's ice particles. So, can such thin gas+plasma shows magma like activity? Look up Rayleigh-Bénard convection. Benard cells, which look exactly like what Sun's photosphere granules are, require surface tension, which means the Photosphere is not vacuum thin, it's liquid. Yes, the Sun is liquid, so is Jupiter.

The sun won't end in a supernova. No iron will be created by our sun.

so if a red dwarf is the next phase, than why want to go to alpha centauri as that is allready a red dwarf star, sso than earthlike planet wil be gone sooner than earth.
@MathAndScience Жыл бұрын
Space is big, and Alpha Centauri is the closest Star after our sun. That’s the only reason.

@@MathAndScience for me i doenst make sence, why waste time and money that aint gonna save us,, if you want to go to another planet than focus on one that has longer life span, also i think mars is wasted, its a death planet, it died out for a reason and has no magnetic field.
@Nick-uf9st Жыл бұрын
@@2684dennis Why are you talking about traveling to another planet to "save us"? The expansion and death of the Sun will probably be long after humanity has either destroyed itself, or has made interstellar travel trivial. For all intents and purposes, as far as current space travel is concerned, ours may as well be the only planetary system in the universe. Everything to do with exoplanet discovery now is purely for research and understanding the universe we exist in better. As for Mars, if we can't figure out how to survive there, there's no way we'd be surviving the multi-generation trips to other stars. Your comment really suggests that you're underestimating how incomprehensibly large space is. Any time and money used for space travel and survival on Mars is hardly wasted as many of the technologies needed to get there and survive there would have uses here on Earth.

The sun surface is not a gas, it is liquid metallic hydrogen as pointed out in many videos by Sky Scholar. Otherwise a nice video.
@Nick-uf9st Жыл бұрын
Sky Scholar has almost no knowledge of astrophysics. He’s a radiologist which give him absolutely no credibility to contradict the countless number of scientists that specialize in the applicable fields.

All you smart people out there lol just so you know there's a ton of claims that can be mathematically and scientifically proven in this video. That doesn't mean everything stated in this video is true. It's theories, stated as truth. Nobody truly knows because they did NOT experience it. It's crazy how we have such smart people that take things at face value. No discernment. Just openly deceived. Things are not what they seem in all facets of life. Just think about it.
@swarsi12 Жыл бұрын
No legitimate scientist will ever claim absolute truth. everything, even the best theories, are an approximation to natural observations and are continually being refined. Those that show agreement with observations are retained and the others are tossed no matter how beautiful or mathematically pleasing.
@averagejoe_333 Жыл бұрын
@SMS W Absolutely. I'm going a little bit deeper philosophically to prove a point of how our reality is perceived. We've been groomed to speak and say things a certain way as absolute truth even though it may not be our perception, such as this man. Someone else watches this and accepts it as reality. Someone watches the news and perceives that reality. Someone reads a Bible and thinks that is reality. We've accepted half truth, as absolute truth, which Allows our reality to be built on top of lies, deceit, manipulation, and propaganda. Its the context in how we communicate with certainty. I'm not trying to speak ill of this man. I'm just adding a different perspective to those who tune into this channel. Because many lies are being revealed as we speak.

@@averagejoe_333Maybe you should be a little more specific? That might be interesting. What you've said so far is meaningless.

@Toby what in this video is theoretical and we as human beings have not experienced first hand. Mostly what's proposed about space and how our Universe is formed, etc, etc. Hopefully this helps.

if this video is true, than why bother to go visite alpha centauri B cause that is orbitting a red dwarf, so that wil be gone sooner than earth.
