In this lesson, you will learn how to calculate the probability of an event occurring. We will do this by examining how many desired outcomes there are and compare this number, by forming a fraction, with the total outcomes for the experiment. In a uniform probability distribution, all outcomes are equally likely, and this is what we will focus on in this lesson.

We had a debate at work today. This is the debate. If you have a multiple choice question, and there are 4 answers. A) B) C) D). Only one answer is correct. If you make a random guess, you would have 25% of getting it correct. But what if you could only select from A) or B). What then would be your chances of guessing correctly, even if the correct answer could be C) D).
