Your story progress is actually auto saved when you go back to the shore Mati. The only thing suspension is good for is for when you're in the middle of a run and are too busy to actually complete it but don't want to go back to the Shore and lose it.

Yeah this DLC was amazing! And the fact that it was FREE but still had all of this is crazy. And if I'm not mistaken, I think they actually got this all done in under a year. Well the actual filming and recording part at least. The amount of work they put into this game and this DLC was just amazing! They truly made this one for the fans, and it kinda sucks for those who never played the first few games or so because you won't fully enjoy just how much work was put into this. I'm glad you're enjoying the DLC tho! Can't wait to continue. Also you're about a quarter of the way now. A few recommendations I'd add is make good use of your triangle attacks, especially with the Blades. It works really well the more you upgrade your weapons. And use your Spear's ranged attacks too. There's a perk that lets you throw your spear and each throw will have a randomized selection of elements attached to the spear. Its really helpful cause you can throw spears with bifrost on it and then follow up with more spears with other elements to do extra damage. Also, I'd recommend using Valor for your rage. Health is pretty scarce throughout Valhalla and the Valor rage gives you a giant boost in health when you need it whenever you have rage. Its the best option for that, but if you want to still be able to attack and gain some rage then Wrath and Fury work just fine. The Legend rage is really good for damage, and it could potentially give you near unlimited rage when you parry attacks, but it doesn't give you health. So unfortunately, you gotta be really good with your skill level to not take damage. Its a high risk, high reward type deal, but its worth it cause you get to use the Blade of Olympus. Btw you don't seem to know this but you can actually shoot with The Blade of Olympus too for a long range attack. Also, the Stonewall shield as probably one of the best shields to use here because you don't have to worry about parrying and you can block yellow ring attacks. So its pretty much like the safest shield to use. Just be careful with trying to block when the shield is fully charged and glowing red. It won't block as good. It also has a slightly slower Block Break attack. Your og shield tho is still the most well balanced shield. It blocks well, and it parries well with good follow up attacks.

Excellent and fun but also.. ahhh Sigrun... nooo... I was super curious what Mati's reaction would be to this as it isn't a DLC with a typical format. Yet it is still fully GoW in it's glory. In the End.. Hah, it was so great.. I knew he'd lose his shit with Helios and that was awesome. Mati did so much of the work to earn these moments. For sure, many did not have the full respect of what was going on cause they only started with GoW 2018. In any event, Helios is Hilarious, such an a-hole in the best ways. Very intuitive of Mati to recognize the nature of what Kratos is going through as a construct and what it likely means to everything going on. Anyways, Mati got those fighting skills on point as he went on and his play just got so satisfying. Also..wooo, congrats on a sponsorship. Our Boi is stepping up in the online world and that is great to see. May he have more and more successful ones to keep this journey going as he deserves. I tell you what, playing Valhalla and then going back to NG+ GMGOW probably helped ALOT. They way how they speak about mastering and taking different approaches I liked it because it allowed me to use and do different things that I didn't do previously in the way how I fight in the game making the combat when I returned pretty decent for me against foes

So to help you, you can grab the nightmares with the blades, all of the weapons have their triangle abilities buffed, the blades have the best buff with the r2 as it makes tiny fire bombs. Always go for the wolf glyphs because they do more overall buffs rather than weapon specific buffs.

Alsooo! The blade of Olympus has a laser beam attack from God of War 2. You can charge all attacks by simply holding them for longer, the triangle ability let's you do a super fly attack onto the enemy and YOU CAN BLOCK RED ATTACKS! You did it earlier, which is why I was confused why you weren't doing it later on the game.

The dlc is probably the best or second best God Of War thing I played! Btw I'm sure it's already been mentioned but when you're on the shore, your progress is saved. The whole "Press Square to Suspend the game" is only for THAT run that you're doing. And a hint: when you're in the Greek level, facing the sands to go up, turn 180 degrees and then go left. That path will give you 2 quick Chosens to clear.

Not sure if you're already finished, but the best way to deal with nightmares and harpies is aiming the blades, you can throw them after at whoever you need. Honestly that bit of the blades combat, with the grapple and aiming it, one of my favourites after Valhalla, along with the spear stealing enemies element move.

Matt if you read my comment. My favorite way building kratos in the dlc was going for the blades the triangle R-1-2 movements. You can build the fire power rapidly. Spear is also good. I always hated using the axe unless the moment forces me to use the axe.
