Tsushima is a real island, that much is obvious. Khotun is a made up name, but he’s likely based on Kublai, a very real khan. The Mongols invaded Japan twice but got wrecked both times more by Mother Nature than the defenders. This game is either a reimagining of the second invasion where a typhoon didn’t fuck them up, or an imagining of a third invasion that never came irl. And little Japanese lesson-地頭 _Jitō_ is a Shogun-appointed leader to a parcel of land, and they were primarily military leaders. A jitō is like a prominent general or military governor.

Ghost of Tsushima is based on the first attempted Mongol invasion of Japan in 1274. The Mongols did take Tsushima, but only stayed for about 10 days before moving on to the ill-fated attack on the mainland.

My favourite entertainer playing one of the most beautifully crafted games ever. Edit: If you want to, in the accessibility settings, there is an option to toggle on "Projectile Indicator", it will show an Indicator a couple seconds before an enemy shoots and arrow at you and from which direction. Has helped me throught my playthrough on the hardest difficulty.

The lack of a lock on function actually helps a lot. You'll be fighting large groups of enemies throughout the game and quickly changing directions becomes vital. Once you get used to it battles become smoother and you'll be carving through Mongols like an anime character.

Another amazing game you started! I'm damn near jealous you get to play this for the first time now. 😂 For me, its up there with some of my favorite Playstation exclusives. The music, the combat, the story, the vibes. It just all hit for me. And I got to be a samurai! 5:04 Yep pretty much. It might be SLIGHTLY better since you're on the PS5, but its not any major noticeable difference. The graphics are great, although not the best I've ever seen, but I genuinely think this was the most beautiful game I've ever played. Many moments where I would just stand in an area and just look at the scenery. The environment was super fun to explore. 1:18:26 Just in case you missed it, flutes will change the weather on the map. The one you have now will make it sunny whenever its not sunny.

After finishing it i was emotionally destroyed and put it in my top 3 of all time (Elden Ring, Ghost of Tsushuma, BG3) edit: i also recommend doing pretty much everything you can. there is no better feeling and it really doesn't hurt anything, this game genuinely is a 10/10 experience

DONT. RESIST THE URGE. i can help you decide. Before my playthrough of elden ring i watched many playthroughs of other people, thinking that it wouldnt hurt my experience oh i was so wrong😔. Because of that i didnt enjoy the game as much as i thought i would. I thought i just didnt liked the game until i played the dlc, bling playthrough and it was magical. Because of the dlc i swore to myself i will NEVER watch a playthrough of a game after playing it myself. Buuuuuttt you can watch a sneak peak just to see how the game plays and then not watch the rest.
