Here is the really funny restaurant scene from the 1996 film Matilda (which is based on the book by Roald Dahl). In my mind, Roald would’ve loved seeing this movie, had he not died in 1990.

As a matter of fact, I can imagine a story where Matilda meets Harry, his friends, his rival Draco Malfoy, his teachers at Hogwarts and his godfather Sirius, and she shows them her telekinesis, as well as how she got it one day. :)

The part where Mrs. Wormwood goes flying over the table at 0:52, Mara Wilson said that was a “stunt woman” doing a backwards flip, and the waiter (Ari) who catches the menus, was a “stunt man” who even helped Mara with some of her stunts, too. Also, Mara said that she really enjoyed eating that whipped cream on the day that they filmed this scene, which made it so great.
