Matilda is wonderful, but can we also take a moment to appreciate the gentle dog she was playing with right at the end? They seemed to be instinctually playing with Matilda on her level, letting Matilda be the one to climb all over them. Was super sweet to see.

Yes, I think the other dogs know she has a disability. I had a disabled cat and the dogs were very gentle with her. Her sister (non disabled) has a bit of a rougher time !!

she seems to be less stable on her left hind leg.... maybe, once she has come adjusted to the pack it would be interesting to see if a chiropractor could not find some things to work on her... It's beautiful to see her playing so happily ❤

She has absolutely no sense of herself as being in any way compromised and is simply happy to be alive and able to enjoy love and play and nature and everything that any more able bodied dog enjoys!! I love how the pack reacted to Matilda when you took her outside. Each of the dogs came up to her to see what she's about, and then backed off to avoid overwhelming her. So beautiful to see the playful and happy girl accepted not only by you, but by the pack. She is absolutely home and so loved, perhaps for the first time in her life. Such an inspiring thing to see. We can all learn from this showing of unconditional love 💜

Special needs Fur Angels are so precious! We have an Autistic pup. When I picked her out 8 years ago from a puppy mill I was told not to take her because being the runt and "strange" she was not worth getting. Just hearing these words made my blood boil and determined to get her. Best decision I ever made! She is so sweet and happy. I am so thankful to have her!🐾🐾💞
