Great video. I could not have gone in that cable car, when I was younger about 21 and 5ft 8 and a half I went to Filey with my then husband we walked up the mountains there and I had to be airlifted down, it's the first time I was told I had vertigo, it was awful. I couldn't even crawl my head was spinning and I was dizzy. I'm now 66 and 5ft 6 and a half and still hate heights. Yes I've lost 2 inches somewhere along my life lol. Xx

Nice video, I watched your Tenby video it was under the heading "Most People Don't Realise This Is In Wales" Glad you found the street you was looking for. I have Family from that town, great you love history. The Americans where stationed in Tenby before the D-Day landings up to 5000 Gis The Belgrave Hotel in Tenby was the American HQ, Its still a Hotel today, We still have a family house in Tenby and we use to have a seaside apartment before the family sold it in 2017. So know that area very well. In Carew just up the road from Tenby there is WW2 , Raf airfield thats now a museum. At the time of poor times in the 1860s alot of people left Wales to settle in Pennsylvania . That why Pennsylvania is the mining capital of America.

We live not far from lickpenny, loads more to see around here, agree with the person who suggested Castleton its beautiful when they do the lights for Christmas, and it really is dog friendly, there are some great pubs as well as amazing walks.

Hey guys loved this video. I’m with Andrew don’t like big wheels, cable cars, bridges and a few other modes of transport. Staying in Edinburgh my dad used to tell me that the forth railway bridge (look it up) that you went over the high bits and not straight through. My brother told me going through the Tyne tunnel that the water running down the walls was the tunnel going to collapse instead of it just being moisture🤢🤢 they really knew how to push my buttons 🤪 more of your viewers are loving your quick wit like us, Will is sitting here laughing his head off🤣. Love the vlog. My husband used to live in Matlock it is a beautiful place to visit. Always wanted to do the heights of Abraham but always gone ‘HOW MUCH!!!!’ But that was 2 adults and 2 kids. May have to ditch the kids 😂 I think this is the same for most taxi’s as the drivers are self employed and can charge what they like also depending on time of day. That however is extortionate we’re there no buses ? My hubby would have made us walk 3 mile rather than pay that 😂 We were in the Lake District half term week and it was stunning highly recommend the Derwentwater C&CC site as you can walk into town from there and get a bus for £2 a journey anywhere in the Lakes as far as Lancaster. Also Windermere was good to stay at too for walking into the centre. It is so dog friendly there too as it is full of walkers. Won’t manage anything more this side of Christmas due to dance shows etc but hoping to get day trips and Feb half term somewhere.

I know that some like the peace of sites literally in the middle of nowhere, but we always look for sites that we can walk or cycle into the local village or town, or have a good bus service. Unfortunately a lot of our experience is that this means commercial sites rather than C&MC.

We live not to far from Matlock. The smell you was getting is probably from the new gravel footpaths that they have recently laid. They have a resin base if I remember correctly. We went in October when they was refurbishing the park. They also refurbished all the seats in the park.

Brilliant video! That taxi was a right royal rip off! Think they’re taking advantage of tourists aka you! Think the only places you can park a motorhome in Matlock & Matlock bath is at the railway stations. Love the M&S gear, nothing wrong with it once you hit a certain age 😂 When I used to travel a lot on the m1 with work years ago there was always a stretch of the m1 that stunk of TCP, junction 29a, near chesterfield. But never smelt it in Matlock. Lickpenny is on my list of sites to visit, apparently they have a pie van on a Friday night, photos of the food look yummy.

As far as the taxi goes, you should of considered a 10 minute walk to Dovehole Lane, just googled the bus service to Matlock quite regular along the A615, £4 each way for the 2 of you = £8 return, you paid £28 in taxis, you could of spent £20 on Madri in Matlock 🤣🍻
