@davidfraser6950 I don't think he is that good either. It was better than this, but he got a bit luck whilst Lennon Imploded and the covid situation meant no direct fan pressure for players. Some of them peaked and didn't have to handle the mental side from fans. I appreciate that he stopped 10 all the same. He did sign a lot of duds for us as well and Mark Allen was rotten as well. I think if we take off the 55 goggles, and look at it objectively, we can see similar patterns each season, even with Gerrards team. The two guys we should have went for, for me as coach were Kjetil Knutsen or Kevin Muscat. I don't think either would leave where they are at for the mess this board have created. Infact they have any manager so finacially hamstrung with regards to bringing in quality, we would be extremely lucky to get anyone in other than another board yes man looking for a pay day or desperado. That sickens me. This board need to sell up. They have us checkmated financially. We can exist with what they are doing, but we can't challenge. Even if as Souness claimed we could spend £50 million, I would not trust this board or scouting team to spend it well.

I hope we can get a run of wins going and build some confidence back. Hopefully some of the players that come in gel quickly and we start seeing better. My big hope is that Clement puts his ego aside, and next time we face Celtic, the gameplan is different. I said before the window shut that Matondo was having his few times a season purple patch and the sicknote wouldn't be far away. Surprise, surprise. The penny never seems to drop. We just kick the can down the road. We should have sold him. Other members of the sicknote club are Raskin and Ridvan. Everytime they play the clock resets and they are not long for the treatment table. Danilo was a good player before he got here. However he has been absolutely cursed from the off. At this point get him fit and move him on asap. Maybe we should look at the free agent market for a striker on a deal until the summer. Someone like Memphis Depay, may be intersted in the challenge and leading the line over money for a short term deal until the summer. We need something. Dessers is not the answer. I would also look at Mats Hummels, or Sergio Ramos if we could ask them to join us short term. I know the names mentioned are a bit pue in the sky and may seem far fetched but you never know if we don't ask, especially since none of these guys would need the money, offer them a standard wage here, and see if they are up for it. The likes of Sergio Ramos would be a big character and could pass on good knowledge to the others, plus his mrs would give us all a lift. 😂 Updated: scratch Hummels he signed for Roma yesterday.

So he knew we've had a striker injured before the transfer windy shut and STILL NEVER brought one in. At the point if it was about money Lyndon Dykes offered his self to us on a free. He's fit, he can score, he's a Gers fan and it wouldn't have cost us a penny. We need to see several players on the pitch more regularly... Fraser, Cortes, Nsiala, Danilo (when healthy), Raskin, Jefte, Cerny and Propper... along with Nana and Bajrami. Tav, Matondo and Lawrence need to be moved. Dessers too, though he could be used against weaker sides... i.e. inflate his stats and then move him on.

Bottom line is all these signings we are talking about have until now provided little added value - they are either injured (and adding zero value) or they are not up to the quality of our closest rivals - no matter what way you cut it there has been extremely poor decision making and mismanagement of peoples cash (both board members and supporters) and the people making the decisions walk away with large severance pay - total disgrace

The thing is even today we have Dave King coming out with absolute nonsense over Tavernier, and he was telling fans it's not acceptable to blame individual players. What a load of Bollox. They get big bucks and when they are not winning silverware or doing the business they will hear about it from fans. With Tav in the team he is giving Celtic a free lunch everytime we play them. It's not right to abuse people, but fans can tell them it's not good enough. What we needed after 2012 was to be built up with home grown players and gradually, with finacial stability and building profits for the future foundation of what we do. This board has been inept. There is no good reason that I can see, that when we returned to the top flight we should ever have to be being propped up with their loans. The club gets a huge fanbase and turnover, tv rights, merchandise, sponsorship etc. If they have made finacial decisions, which they have, that have put us where we are, and where we are is a mess then fans have a right to tell them to sort it out or sell up to those who can do it better. The track record of their decisions with the club is pish. There are too many cooks in the kitchen as well at board level. We have Dave King telling fans not to speak out on players not preforming, when at every turn that brass necked tube gets tore into Douglas Park, or courts media controversy. Even when he says something positive he drops a negative and throws shade. I also wonder if theu saved us from Charles Green etc or was it set up that way. Sometimes heroes are manufactured in the world of business. I think Rangers and we deserve better.

Think about it, 70-80% of transfers go down as not working out, over all world football . Then add, you dont get consistancy from 95% of young "prospects", thats part & parcel of buying young to sell on, other downside is very few will be decent players , never mind make money back . The number of "young hopeful players' that sell for ANY profit is probably kess than 10%. The number that make good prifit is less than 5%, number that make more than £5m profit is probably less than 1%.. its not as easy as some fans seem to think .!

Rangers are not playing on a level playing field, for multiple reasons. We will not have financial parity until we increase the capacity of Ibrox to beyond 60,000. The fans need to understand this economy of scale and back the board to make this transition, as a matter of priority. It's an easy financial decision because we have a waiting list of fans wanting to buy these additional season books.

However this board have proven woth the debt that they can't manage our finances responsibly, nevermind increase profits and having us challenging. I would not trust them to be capable of hiring the right man. They may be capable of hiring the right man to pull the wool for a while, but not someone that would enhance the club and actually achieve something. Either someone needs to come and buy the club out right, or someone new as a majority stake holder needs to come in. We need someone at least with a sporting back ground that knows how to set us up with the right people at all levels of the club for success.
