Nicely done Emily. All 5 of my, now grown up kids enjoy fishing. The youngest being 25 years old. As soon as my eyes are better, I'll be dragging the grandkids to the nearest water. Can't wait. For any juniors Monday I fish it every week Pellet in 18” across, worm and gb down edge, meat short feed it with 2 hours to go

There are a lot of really good female anglers about and the Ladies national and Ladies festivals are very well attended but totally agree the more that take up the sport the better.

Great to see the ladies involved in fishing, but those who teach them need to wake up and smell the coffee. Commercials are not REAL fishing. Small ponds which are grossly overstocked with fish. Put them on natural lakes or rivers and they would struggle. Shame how fishing has turned out now.

Maybe they just want to enjoy their day and catch a few fish, with good facilities such as toilets. Commercial fisheries have been putting a smile on thousands of people's faces for a lot of years now. If they didn't exist, the amount of people recreational fishing in the UK would be FAR less than it is now. Something to think about when you're next out doing some 'real' fishing.

If it wasn't for commercials, the tackle industry, shops and manufacturers would have gone out of business long ago. Remember that, next time you call in for a pint of reds and wonder why 90% of the shop is carp. The shop still exists..... because of commercials! Women are safer on a commercial, toilets aside, a lot of the natural venues I fish, the Don and Rother, the Sheffield Canal etc, I wouldn't recommend a girl or woman like in this video, to go fishing there alone. Running, cycling along the towpath, fine, just sat there all vulnerable, alone, no, 👍
