I've always wanted a story, after peace is actually achieved, where the humans and machines launch a mission into space to colonize a more habitable world. They wouldn't have FTL capabilities so it would have to be a generational ship, which is where the matrix comes in. People could live, grow, have kids, and die in the simulation instead of stuck on a spaceship. You could even use those people to power the ship. Also, I suspect being a hybrid in space would have have its advantages.

I’ve always been curious about eating in the matrix. If the food outside the Matrix is so terrible, could/do the red pills ever jack in just to experience the joy of eating their favorite foods again? We know they experience pain, the Matrix simulates everything down to ensuring all of your senses work through a combination of being so believable that your brain fires those senses on it’s own, as well as probably through some form of electric and/or chemical signals to your body through the various ports / perhaps the liquid in the pods as well. Of course they could deem such a venture too risky, but then could they not just spin up their own Matrix program like the Dojo and simulate the food outside of the matrix? And even if they couldn’t, one could argue the joy gained from fulfilling desires like eating your favorite meal outweighs the risks involved, as living off of blended mutated insects for the rest of your life (along with all of the other issues shown in this video) would definitely have a terrible possibly life-threatening impact on some portion of the red pills’ mental health. Or, perhaps knowing the food isn’t real takes most of the joy out of it. I’m not sure that’s possible though, humans have a very profound innate reaction to eating delicious food, I imagine it’d take more than knowing the food isn’t real to remove the happiness from it. Just some food for thought. Great channel, I’ve been hooked on The Matrix since it was in theatres.

You know, I always did question Cyphers decision to attempt to have himself reinserted into the Matrix. He’d made demands about the life he’d want to have, and as much as it probably didn’t matter at all to the overall agents and those with the ability to grant him that life, whose to say that they would? Memories all erased, and to become a rich and influential person, like, an actor. What could he have done if they’d welched on the deal, and made him live the worst possible existence? As it again made no difference to them either way. I suppose it may be as simple as the Architect at the end of Revolutions, when the Oracle asked if she had his word, “what do you think I am? Human?” Perhaps that pertains to every program still connected to the actual Matrix, and of course not to the Merovingian and his world. But I did always ponder that…

I think it would be cool if there was a team dedicated to trying to solve the problem of the people in pods dying and trying to figure out a way to wake everyone up without death and trying harder to somehow use the water to create more life like plants. Also, maybe a character that tried to befriend the machines - maybe child drawing a machine in positive light - to show innocence. idk it wouldn't really fit the dystopia feeling exactly, but I imagine in a realistic scenerio there would be some people that have optimism like that even if it's irrational.

A person with a 6th grade Education can rarely maintain a good conversation with somebody who has a college education for example. No, you won't be. The people in the pods were being fed nutrients intravenously to allow them to "grow" and stay "fed". When they eat in the Matrix, it's like the intravenous nutrients "confirm" the lie of them eating in the Matrix. Eating while unplugged wont have the same effect. If you plugged in for say, several weeks on a hovercraft and didn't eat in the real world, the person would expire from hunger in the real world even if you ate a lot of food in the Matrix... you would probably just feel like no matter how much you eat, you never feel full. Just like how you feel the sensation of pain in the Matrix from being hit in the real world, you would feel a sensation of hunger in the Matrix from hunger pangs in the real world. You would however, be able to enjoy the taste and "feel" like you are eating, but you won't feel nourished and full. The Matrix can't do that for you unless you are blue.

I have escaped from "the matrix" myself, not overnight, but gradually over the past several years. Yeah, it's a very lonely existence, that's the toughest aspect of it. Almost impossible to have a steady relationship with any woman. Just as impossible to constantly "talk down to someone else's level" when speaking to random ppl (most do not have a grasp on anything that I know and understand). The Matrix is actually real life, and real life is the Matrix. No one has ever escaped nor are they really "awake", as Morpheus had mentioned about sensories and having a feeling. What we have really discovered from the Matrix is what is known as the gateless gate or pathless path, the mere fact of there being nothing but simultaneously everthing we believe to exist. That is why when we see scenes of time slowing down, or Neo simply moving quicker than our eyes would be able to clearly see without the special camera work, that is because to be still, is to know. When Neo is at his best is when Neo knows.

Whats scary about this Science Fiction is if we as human beings fully disconnect from the concept of a higher being/purpose/after life and turn into these type of characters in the matrix (seeking to live at all costs, cybernetics, virtual reality etc) Science Fiction usually turns to Science Fact so maybe this is the path we are heading towards in the next 100 years.

@@ObeyaCorpsArmory It's 2021. Just look at our world's current "situation" lol. And all the fear that goes with it. These poor creatures crave life. They'll do almost anything just to feel like everything is still "normal", let alone to keep their lives, or at least to FEEL like their lives aren't threatened. Scared feeble animals, willing to enslave themselves to any miserable existence, as long as it allows them to exist. Death is something they can't even truly contemplate, let alone make peace with or seek out. It's truly astonishing how accurate the Matrix is when it comes to human psychology/sociology.

@@ShangaelThunda222 i actually think that its not like that in eastern cultures. in a way we as americans (and im assuming you are american) are like living deprived of faith and they censor faith in all of our media... which could be a real "matrix" are are in. Aswell as a world war being casted on Religion/Spirituallity going on in the world today.

You're leaving out a huge factor. While in the real world, these freedom fighters have access to a local version of the Matrix. They can simulate anything they want and enjoy all that stuff anyway.

Oh absolutely! But there are many like Uncle Teddy who would choose to live in a shed rather than teach in a University. The Amish community would choose the red pill. See the difference? It is our fear and lack of preparation for the real world that makes us choose the Blue Pill. It is coercion. It is manufacturing of our consent.
