Hi, my sister is a member of the Young Belgian Crew and will be sailing from Antwerp to Lisbon this summer on the Statraad Lehmkuhl. She'd like to make an aftermovie when she comes back. But therefore she needs a camera and she want a camera with a good quality, and we think this video has very good quality, so I'd like to ask you: with wich camera was this video made? She's looking forward to this experience!!!

Hi, Me and my wife will also be onboard Statsraad Lehmkuhl from Antwerp to Lisbon this summer. So we'll meet your sister onboard. I used a GoPro 3 camera for the videos I posted om my KZbin channel Matsopp. This comes with a waterproof housing that can even be used for scuba diving. The GoPro cameras are frequently used by TV companies and even movie makers. I'm very satisfied with the video quality of this camera, which was not too expensive. Just be sure that you buy a very quick micro-SD card to be used with the camera, 32 GB or higher, with speed at least 45MB/s (I use Sandisk SDHC ExtremePlus MicroSD UHS-1 64GB with 80MB/s speed). Also remember to bring a strap or rope to secure the camera around the arm or other body parts if the cameara is to be taken up in the rig. Loose objects in the rig is not allowed.

My Family are emigrants from Norway, Except we have the last name Lemcool instead of Lehmkuhl which is what it was. Would be interesting to be aboard this ship sometime.

That’s interesting, “Statsraad” means “Minister” and more information about the man the ship is named after can be achieved here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kristofer_Lehmkuhl. #Matsopp, what can you tell me about your experience in the Statsraad Lehmkuhl, I have sailed in Bark Europa and enjoyed it. Do you think that they are identical? Would you recommend sailing on the Statsraad Lehmkuhl? Thank you and good winds

+Rui M - I have not been onboard on Bark Europe so it is difficult for me to compare with Statsraad Lehmkuhl. However, I really enjoyed all my trips on Statsraad Lemkuhl. Last year I stayed onboard 23 days. She is bigger that Bark Europa and the crew, fasilities and food is very good. She is sailing fast in good wind, I prefer breeze to gale force. And yes, I recommend sailing on the Statsraad Lehmkuhl.
