Sometimes there is only one melody like in "I need my girl" or more complex ones. Yet, one thing is common that they all have a story. They have been together for years now, and the only way they come up with one of the best music around is thanks to their mutual respect for their craft. Btw, Matt Berninger is one of the best singers around today as well.
