The emotional reaction I get when I hear the string-like rythm in the background is undescribable. I was born in the 80s and I must have probably heard this on the radio when I was VERY young. One day few years ago, I heard it again on the radio, after at least fifteen years. It was like smelling the scent of your childhood toys. A painful and nostalgic joy.

What a magnificent pop tune, so infinitely catchy! I only JUST discovered Matt Bianco thanks to hearing this wonderful song in a movie theatre, while waiting for the feature to start, a couple of days ago. Unfortunately this sophisti-pop band wasn't on North America's radar back in the 80s or I would have gravitated to them years ago! I'll be picking up that classic first album of their's a.s.a.p.! :-)

This never gets played on any oldies radio station in the UK! This is so cool and funky, with it's bass line, the steady percussion to maintain the rhythm and Basia's vocals. Oh and the trumpets throughout and at the end ! Liked the pan pipes section that remind me in an odd sort of way about Popeye ! What a great song, underrated and under appreciated. It only got to # 44 in the UK singles chart in April 1984 ! No way, this was worthy of a much higher chart placing than outside the top 40:

This is one of my favourite songs. The video brings back memories I was barely a teenager at the time. Its got a good intro and the sound stays in the mind. Did Joe Jackson record this song? The reason I ask... I had a various artist album called Hungry For Hits. It maybe not exist anymore, very early eighties. I'm sure it was Joe Jackson on that recording, but it would have been earlier than Mat Bianco. It is better than the top forty. Great song.
