Padres fan here, Carpenter is becoming one of my favorite Padres players and he is currently leading the team in SLG, OPS and RBI, I wish he could play everyday but his defensive skills are an issue, I believe that in the future Carpenter will start most of the games at 1B because of the slow start the padres offense had, and they are eventually going to bench Ha-Seong Kim. Idk why I feel like the only Padres fan that is super high in Carpenter, he literally led the MLB last year in SLG and OPS.

It really rubs me the wrong way how aesthetically similar a lot of these are to Jon Bois’ work. Same fonts, same music, same cinematography style. Happy for him to get a bit more success in the big leagues, but that did not prove he was the best HR hitter since Bonds.....or are we arguing that Shane Spencer was the greatest HR hitter of all time due to his first taste of the show when he hit 10 HR in only 73 PA, Bonds never had a rate like that in a season. Of course, he then went on to hit less than 50 more homers in the rest of his career, so was he the greatest and just ended up having a cold streak for the rest of his career, or was his first season just one of those things? Your video's title is clickbait. Your argument is not supported with enough evidence to validate your statements. The 2023 season, and the years immediately preceding 2022 are strong, strong evidence that he is not in fact the greatest home run hitter since Barry Bonds. Phil Clark hit .407 in 61 plate appearances in 1992, is that proof that he was the best hitter for average since Ted Williams? John Paciorek went 3-3 with 2 walks in 1963, does that make him the greatest hitter of all-time, I mean, he literally never made an out in the major leagues, how can you do any better than getting on base every single time you come to the plate? In the end Carpenter is a guy who had a hot streak, good for him. The fact that he happened to hit a number of homers in a very small sample size proves nothing....other than he hit a bunch of homers in a small sample size.
