I stayed in New York City for a month, and it just so happened Matt Corby was playing while I was up there. I went by myself, walked through Times Square and into Central Park after the show. One of my favorite nights ever.

Everybody in Matts band got some quirks while they play that makes them really loveable imo. The basist is always touching the volume knob after each riff. The drummer always playing with a open mouth looking really focused while still making it look easy. The guy on keys intense headbobbing. The Ladys random small smiles. The guitar players really wavy grooving. :) I love these guys sooo much.

Ok, I don't know how many times I've watched this show, but I have to say... Again! HE IS AMAZING! His introduction for "Do you no Harm", and the way he goes from "Why Dream" to "Empires Attraction"... I can't even say, my heart melts each time! It feels like he's holding my heart in his hands and caressing it. Is that weird? Just one more thing: THANK YOU!

The crowd may have been tiny to start, but it grew and grew and grew throughout the set. Breaking into America is bloody hard and he wasn't in the lineup or on the posters.. except as one of "many more". He went away known to a lot more people. That sort of quality doesn't get ignored for long.

I'm a long term fan - the tempo of Brother and another song is too fast, relative to other versions - but the artistic skill of Matt and the band as well is extreme.
