It gets interesting where Matt discusses Prince's later work and not liking some of it, I'm in the same camp, I sort of stop at Gold Experience, but for Matt to say that he doesn't even recognize Prince, that would have been very interesting to expand upon. 32:05 Yeah, THAT fake mugshot. The photo put up also appears to be a new AI enhanced that it now doesn't even LOOK like Prince! So annoying to see that. And the original doctored photo is on T-shirts and they think it's real *eyeroll*.

Definitely is bogus-looking photo. Cool to hear the full explanation of the bullhorn episode. The band in the early just sounded like young adults having some harmless fun on the road. I always dig hearing musicians that have worked with Prince talking about how they kept on his music once they left the fold. Thanks to watch and comment Modernaire.

@@musiciansreveal You're welcome! I'm a huge admirer of Dr. Fink, met and chatted briefly at Family Jamm years ago, I got introduced to his mom and dad! Very gracious of Matt and his parents were so nice and cool! I agree, the bullhorn and vomit stories had me laughing, I could totally see it and hear Prince rolling in laughter! Another woa-moment is Matt's archived work-practice tape and video collection, it's like he's got his own Vault! When will we hear and see some of it!? I'm still midway through the video, Thank you for sharing your interview with Matt Fink!

He mentioned that in other interviews but never specifically named the album. Is it TGE? What’s so different from others? He pretty much sings like in other albums. I thought he was referring to chaos album…or even NPS but they all sound like Prince.

@@Cormac-jd2kx I'll guess Matt is referring to the Rainbow Children and beyond stuff. MAYBE. Be good to get into that with the Doctor at some point and into specifics. Including GEAR talk! I'd love to know more about Matt's gear throughout the years and what he plays now, his rig. INCLUDING what adversity Prince faced during those 80s times when he rose higher and then seemed to be getting pushback. Like the story Matt shared about MTV sabotaging the UTCM promotion and premiere. There must be more similar stories, maybe extending into recording studios, labels, etc.

@@musiciansreveal Thanks!! And you are so right. During times those even if you couldn’t make a concert. You always had live albums, the Midnight Special, Soul Train and the Don Kirshner rock concert oh I forgot to mention the King Biscuit flour hour a live concerts on the FM rock station. I ran across a conversation on KZbin and it really made me think. This rapper back in the day made a real good point. He said if it wasn’t for Car manufacturers still putting radios in cars am and fm wouldn’t exist anymore. If I’m correct I there are 2 car manufacturers stop putting FM and AM in their cars. The 70’s on up to the early 80’s were the best days of my life.

I saw Prince missing the piano seat trying to stand on top of the piano and falling on the floor. He stayed on the floor acting as if he was dead for a few seconds. He had this clown face too funny. Then kept singing as if nothing happened. This was in Spain Madrid December 98

Prince n that speech in AMA 95 he thanked all his band mates and said “The Lovesexy Band” after The Revolution. I’ve seen Matt saying he was a member of the original NPG a few times and it’s funny because I don’t think he was as he left Prince band after the nude tour and the NPG officially as a band originated in 91 with D&Ps album. There was a band right after the Lovesexy band which performed “electric chair” in SNL and then he formed a new band with no official name either that made the Nude Tour. I know Lovesexy made references to the NPG but never officially and Prince clearly referred them as the Lovesexy band.

Thanks to watch Cormac. Possibly Matt was referring to the members in that band who eventually became the official New Power Generation.
@Cormac-jd2kx

@@musiciansrevealtrue. Maybe the nude tour band was the first NPG line-up. Could be the same case and process he followed with the Revolution in 1999 album and tour. Officially was presented in the purple rain album but in 1999 album cover he wrote in small letters “the Revolution” although not official on the credits or album reference or tour posters etc just a small unofficial reference. Prince gave little hints
