Not gonna happen with eberLOSE is the HC. He had NO CLUE that Santos was 71 for 71 inside 40 yards. Always doubles down instead of looking at OTHER possibilities. The guy doesn't play to win, only plays to lose. Why he's still here is beyond me. Will be challenging with the McCaskey's still owning the team.

@@Keithjhall Good point all the way around, but there not going to replace him in the middle of the year, because what head coach are you going to replace him with and then fire him and then bring in someone like Ben Johnson, that isn't going to Quit in the middle of the season when there a shoe in to go into the playoffs. Ya have to wait and see who is available for next yr. Yes you can replace him with almost anyone , but then are you going to fire him after the new year starts?. I head coach is hard to replace for 7 games, but don't I wish ! Warren and Poles will make the decision. Virginia and George just pay the bills, like 3 billion for a new Stadium coming up !

@ well, just know either they’re both coming back or they’re both getting fired. That’s a fact. And all the subtle comments of them saying they’re not gonna repeat what happened the last two times by firing a coach a year after drafting a rookie quarterback said it all. And poles signed off on all Eberflus’s signings that turned into firings. So you better believe they’re both coming back or they are both leaving.

@@MrSpandya22 they don’t coach ultra conservative and scared to lose. Tomlin trusted Big Ben all those years in key situations until he got older, and Kenny Pickett was a young player so they didn’t put a lot on his plate. And when the Steelers are good, their defenses are normally elite. So has the Ravens. John Harbaugh trust Lamar Jackson in key situations. On 4th downs, goal line, or 2 point attempts, they’ll take a timeout and talk about the situation. When have you seen the Bears do that? Even when they had a dynamic player like JF, they was still conservative and you didn’t see the qb and coaches talk on the sidelines about the situation they faced. Both teams are well coached by Tomlin and Harbaugh and they have staple plays in their offenses, so when they do slow the game down, they go to their go to plays and their players execute the plays thats called. Since Eberflus has been in Chicago, what are the staple plays on offense? Our o line doesn’t even know their assignments half the time in run or pass blocking. In 2022-2023 when they had leads in the 4th qtr, JF was just making plays out of nothing. When they got conservative and took the ball out of his hands and ran the ball conventionally to try to put the game away, they couldn’t do it. They’ll do stupid stuff like run out of shotgun or throw a screen that the defense sniffed out. And the Bears don’t have an elite defense like they had with Lovie or Fangio to protect leads. Those teams also had anemic offenses and was ran by qbs who struggled with protecting the ball. Especially during Lovie’s tenure, and Urlacher, Briggs, Tillman, etc wasn’t giving up multi possession 4th qtr leads.

Dan & Mark hit the nail on the head. The bar was set so low for a Bears OC, that normal play calling looks fantastic, like Thomas Brown, did on Sunday. It's similar to the inability for a Bears center in 2023, to simply snap the ball. When we watched a regular NFL center in 2023, we were amazed! Same stuff, so let's temper our hopes for Thomas Brown, like Dan suggested, especially until AFTER we actually win another game. 😃

Flus specializes in the Prevent the Win Defense and the Prevent the Win Game Management. Given that Flus's mentor Rod Marinelli had an 0-16 season I presume he also used these two Prevent the Win strategies.

Show me other coaches who regularly do this. He’s lost whatever edge he may have had at one time. It’s time to move on.

Flus didn't just make 1 mistakes, he made 2 mistakes. He also ran the ball to the left And ended up on the left hash mark, instead of running to the right and putting the ball on the right hash mark which Santos prefers.

Cairo Santos never missing a kick inside 40 yards is 100% false. A correct statement is that Santos has never missed a FG inside 40 yards, as a Bear. Santos has missed 5 with the Chiefs and 2 with the Titans [under 40 yards]. I have seen/heard this lately when Bears reporters report false information. It's not you two in this case, but overall, reporters, STOP IT! It's your job to report sports news, and if it's false, there's no point to your job, is there?

It should be illegal for the Bears to have picks in the top 5 every year 😂 They actually could’ve been a real playoff team if they would’ve kept Justin and traded fingernail paint boy 😆 2 years with a #1 receiver plus these extras. SHIIDDD!! Justin would’ve been a lot better! I don’t care what the Bears do, they won’t make a playoff game long as Caleb on that roster and Caleb Williams wasn’t the answer. He’s the problem. I’ll be back to comment section next year and the year after 😆

What does Trestman and Fox have to do with Polian ? Pace brought in Fox. You have a twisted opinion of Oweners in the NFL. There's at least 10 women that own, or are partial owners of NFL football teams. 90% of these people don't know Squatt about pro football, there all business people. Quit using Virginia and George as excuses for what GMs have done to the Bears organization. Virginia and George didn't play in the NFL for 10 yrs like George Halas did.! Yes they hired the GMs But not every GM is a genius either, that why 70 % of all NFL teams are bad, there not football smart, there all the same. The Bears have spent more money on football in the last 10 or 15 years than than the last 60% of all teams have.

Flus also dont understand that a longer kick goes up at a lower trajectory than a shorter kick does. Its like using a wedge in golf instead of a 5 iron. If a kicker has to have length he has to kick the ball higher up on the ball than a shorter kick which he can get under the ball more and make it rise sooner.
@Jviotr5 күн бұрын
He’s just so awful. Admit you f’d up. This is why he doesn’t have the respect of his players. ESPN showed a stat where Santo’s probability of making a FG beyond 45yds is 75%. He’s basically 100% inside of 40yds. Odds of turning over the ball on a run play is less than 1%. So take the 1% risk to hope you improve the odds of winning the game from 75% to 100%.

Haha.. McCaskeys need a turnaround in the product they put on show every week if they have a snowballs chance in hades to get any taxpayer funding in their new stadium. With the venerable 100 year old lady holding the clan together, and the next generation not too fond of each other... good luck selling the Bears to a buyer for a pretty penny in the future.

This is not on Eberflus at all. These two guys are a joke for real. Santos make that kick 10/10 times. I am doing the same thing if I am Eberflus, I wonder if you have been diagnosed with super ADHD, I am sure you two rode the short 🚌 doing high school. The reason I would be conservative is because my QB just got sacked twice with in 30 seconds. I overcame that with my rookie QB, and he delivered. So yes I am kicking that. That scenario that the weirdo guy listed was not 🍎 2 🍎. The LA Chargers have a better offensive line than we got, and i bet they didnt have 2 rookies, or 3 & 4th stringers in the game.
