@@el80neso, while technically true, it is only a marginally meaningful point. While it is certainly true that bill could have been saying that he had formulated this opinion about Matt despite knowing that he should not have taken the media propaganda at face value... ...I'm more inclined to think that the observation is actually MORE trenchant than just the quick burn of pointing out the "hypocrisy." The reason is that, at some point, Bill started to get taken in by the public image that he'd created during the height of Shitlibs vs Neocons. He DESPERATELY wants to portray himself as "not your average Hollywood douchebag", but a snarky, clever, and intrepid interlocutor who can smell bullshit a mile away, no matter "which side" presents it...that he's a "straight-shooter" who doesn't care what someone believes, as long as they aren't full of shit, whether it is bad logic or ideological insanity. ...but that only makes it WORSE when he does such EGREGIOUS bad faith shit like pretending that it's "obvious" that there was Russian collusion, or that Trump is a tyrant, or that the DoJ WASN'T weaponized. Gaetz did well not to punch him in the mouth

DNC is now majority Progressive democrats, following Bernie's lead, who take no corporate money and promise to overturn Citizens United (Republican-controlled Congress forced through in 2010, allowing corporations, billionaires, and churches, to purchase our politicians and judges), but leadership are still corporate-owned centrists who spend millions of dollars on attack ads against Progressive democratic candidates during their Primaries, leaving only the corporate-owned centrist candidates standing, and they lose! Attend your local DNC precinct meetings, educate your community about FDR Democracy 2.0, that apply to everyone, nearly eliminating Poverty and Crime, and finally join the rest of the modern world 🌎. Support Progressive democratic candidates DURING their Primaries by sending contributions & people power directly to their respective campaigns 😊

Bill Maher needs to learn one very important lesson. He refers to the 'left wing types' HOWEVER, he has this completely wrong. It is not the 'left wing types' at all. It's the 'establishment and deep state types' that consist of both left and right / Democrats and Republicans. Once he and others begin to understand this, there will be far less division between people, which ironically is EXACTLY what the 'establishment and deep state types' want. Divide and conquer. Let's beat their bullshit and unite. Left, right, doesn't matter. What matters is right and wrong and the establishment and deep state are wrong. When people on the left begin to understand that Trump is not right wing, he's right (not wrong) wing, we the people will win this war. Amen.

You misconstrue what he said. He’s saying he HAS TO CHECK MULTIPLE SOURCES, to get the reality because he doesn’t trust the system of media we have. How else would he know Gaetz? Huh? He basically said he literally looks at multiple sources to get an opinion. But at the end of the day Gaetz is just a human. His precious coverage is Gaetz being an asshole and making political decisions. I never dreamed that I would actually relate to and think better of Matt Gaetz. This just goes to show that a 1-on-1 conversation over a couple of drinks can brink out a person's true self. The Matt Gaetz we had in Congress would never have made any of the concessions that he made in this video. The fact that he straight up said that there are parts of climate change that his party gets wrong made me audibly say "Wow!" in disbelief. If he were still in Congress, you'd never hear him say that.
