I’m not a fan of the stacks they used here versus his normal set up of an oriental splash and China, but the idea was to promote the 25th A Custom Anniversary so they used A Custom splashes stacked in place of his normal cymbals to represent that sound.

Im not sure but i think they dont use drum triggers anymore its more about capturing a good drum kick and then using some drum samples in that mix to get a consistent and loud bass, here it seems to me that they brought the cymbals a little to forward on the mix,

I swear, Zildjian sucks at mixing. It's not just this video either, almost every Matt Greiner playthrough has had some weird issue with the mixing. Great drumming and props to Zildjian for giving us a great playthrough of a deep-cut on Messengers, but come ON.

Isaac Salas I wouldnt say that. The session where he played white washed sounded great imo. The session with Majoring in the minors was okay.
