As long as he does it once and then rests his voice for the next day he’ll be perfectly fine. But if he did this on tour again he would definitely kill his voice again, probably permanently.

@@The_JustJoshing exactly its not like doing wrong techniques every once in a while kills your voice otherwise all the people singing karaoke drunk would be voiceless lol its the constant repetition of doing it wrong daily for hours at a time. Trivium did lengthy tours in their early years thats constant screaming almost every day + all the partying after the gigs where Matt did not let his voice rest

I hate to say it but he's never gonna do 100% of his old vocals live, at least not regularly. He says in an interview where he talks about his screaming technique; he goes all out when recording in studio, but when touring he has to use a slightly more tame technique live so it's more sustainable over a long period of time and he doesn't blow his voice out, and he's been doing that since 2017. This show is a one off occasion so he can probably go a bit crazier than normal, especially if it's just one song. But for an entire setlist night after night, even just one night of a full set he's gonna need to hold back a bit in order to do it constantly. The good thing is that when you're there in the live setting it's hard to tell the difference

Listen to this homie ^^ PS edit: Every metal show I've been too Trivium included * 2012 charlotte nc /motionlessinwhite/askingalexandra on the set the majority of the crowd is tipsy or high just trying to see the bands they love and have a good time. I know I wouldn't be happy if * any band * came and did a shit not even half ass job but true fans understand how hard and demanding the touring is and don't mind a bit of restraint in the name of sustainability. Stay healthy, keep releasing. Stay wreckless, get wrecked. ;)

@@hypershadow015 True, the vocals here aren't quite up to par. But not recognizing the difference between the old and new vocals live is pure nonsense. I've seen Trivium live very often, also with his old vocals and you can tell the difference from live. His new technique is much weaker. The screams, as well as the clean vocals. Matt had by far his best live singing during the In Waves period. He was chaos himself.

Saw them in Seattle recently with beartooth, malevolence, and as archetypes collide. He really does just embody the nice guy metalhead persona, and it’s so wholesome. “Let’s keep it moving, my friends” definitely feels like I’ve partied with the guy before, and like he genuinely cares about every single one of his fans.

I played a demo for this game and cannot wait till it comes out. It actually takes more skill than a normal FPS game so those that are musically inclined will definitely benefit in this game. Not necessarily, all songs were kinda "bad" at this show because the sound team absolutely fucked it up. Me as a new would say the mids are there but highs and lows are absolutely shitty. It sounds like some 200€ Bluetooth headphones I had 1 month ago tested them 2 days tried even changing the software but no chance to fixing it. Gamescom is definitely not the place you want to go for a metal concert obviously.
